Paranoid people care about people seeing their address. You want mine?
These are the same people that cover their license plate up in pictures online, but drive around every day with thousands of people looking at their license plates

Did not see this issue mentioned but my camera stopped recording when the card was full. Should have rewritten over the oldest files. Put in a new card but not luck.
Will not take picture, shows "capture Failed". Wont record loops says " Loading failed". Will see what Fitcamx says.

Update on mine:
I was finally able to get my camera to "factory reset" after 3 attempts and it is recording now.

My issue was the camera stopped recording when the memory disk (original 64mb) was full instead of rewriting over the oldest file.
I replaced the card with a 256mb disk and will see what happens when this one gets full.

PSA: Check to see that you camera is recording especially as you reach the capacity of your SD card.

I found Fitcamx customer service to be lacking in my case. They told me to buy a new card which I though was interesting as they supplied the card on a unit I bought 28 days ago.
A google search found that this has been a problem in the past and is usually rectified with a software update.

It's a good idea to check. I saw the post about it stopping the recording when the card was full so I decided to check the other day because i havent touch it in a couple of months. Mine is still working properly with the supplied SD card

Had the same thing happened to me, just happened to check it one day and it said not recording or something and to format the SD card. Formatted the card and it starting recording again. Using a 512 GB card that the camera only sees 256Gb of

I am in the habit of reformatting the card every time I fill up.

That may be a good idea because you don't know that its not recording until you check. I wonder if other brands do this or if this is because I'm using a larger SD card

Fitcamx offered to swap mine out for a new one but I was too lazy to pull it out. :)

I'm thinking if both ours are doing the same thing, a new one will likely do the same. I haven't seen any update firmware either

I'm betting not. The camera will work with it and format it but when you use the app and look at the storage capacity, mine says 256Gb

The reason I was thinking about a Tablet is becuuae I found an android tablet for 100 bucks at Best Buy . It has a usb oport so I was thinking it would be easy to grab videos off of the cam . It could ride in the truck when I'm in it also being able to charge it in the truck would be easy to do . Hoping it would not have to turn the bluetooth off on my phone or any other settings on my phone .
Were you, or anyone else, able to confirm that the FitCamx would display on a tablet (Android) via WiFi or Bluethooth?

There is no reason it wouldn't be able to as long as you have the app installed.

It uses wifi. You just search for the wifi, on any device, and connect to the one they list. It's in the instructions.

I wanted this so bad, until I saw for the rear you still have to put it in the back and run cords. I wish they had a design to include a dashcam on that same piece that could show the cabin/rear.

So now back to being stuck between this, Nexar and Wolfbox.

You aren't going to get a rear dash cam from the rear view mirror area. You will just have a camera that records the back seat.

Nexar records what you can see out of the rear window from the front, which is good enough. So the cabin and out the rear window.

I'd rather have the rear facing camera in the rear window. Better FOV of what's behind you in an accident. More focused on the outside than inside. To each his own though. I mean, if you really wanted to you could mount the rear facing camera on the windshield pointing backwards. Just have to deal with the extra long cord, or have some wiring skills and shorten it up
