I just pulled my Billet Technology catch can off my 392 charger in the trade for this ram. Do you guys think it's the same they use for the these rams? I have the z bracket too. Maybe I can get a new top only that doesn't say 392 though...lol

You are going to buy 3/4 of a catch can just to not see three numbers?
Just put the thing on and close the hood. (y)

Ha...Id be lying if I said my OCD gets annoying sometimes. Maybe they will swap it for me. Billet Technology has been really good to me when I was buying all their stuff for my scat. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. If not then yea prob just roll with what I have.

Yes I just ordered the standard one. I’m also halfway across the country from them. They’re in Florida and I’m in Iowa.

I just got done with the install and it’s insanely easy. Probably 10 min overall. Biggest problem is getting the two rear pins on the engine cover back into place. I spent the most time on that.

If you are planning to keep your truck for a while or anticipating high mileage use get it. I got steered to catch cans when I had my Camaro as the LS motors have alot of blow by especially when you start modding them. If you search the interweb I found a 15% off code for Billet Technologies. But be prepared to wait, these guys are slow as molasses going up hill in a Massachusetts winter. I waited 6 weeks for my can to arrive for my Daytona
Can this void warranty? I don’t want my lifetime warranty to go away.

Yes, it is the same one. Exactly. Same can, same bracket, same bolt and spacer.
The hoses are longer on the Rams than the Charger.

I’ve used the same billet catch cam on my 16 Ram Sport, 18 Charger 392 and now my 19 Ram Laramie.
Had to get longer hoses to go back to the Ram.

If you have a true lifetime warranty. I wouldn’t touch anything. Yes sounds boring.
To answer your question, no it won’t void warranty.

I actually thought about that. Not touching nothing at all. And if I do, just go nothing but mopar parts and have it ordered and installed at a mopar service center. That way it’s all on record from them and I should be good. I’ll spend more money since they charge more but eh’.

As you probably know they would have to prove the product was issue.
Full mopar stuff they have nothing to comeback on and their install aswell. Very smart, expensive but smart.(y)

As you said, I do know they have to prove it. The thing is, they won’t fix my truck until I push it and get a lawyer. I will need my truck fixed ASAP if something is wrong with it. Although I should win easily if they can’t prove it, I don’t have the time to waste and have my truck sitting while I’m trying to prove it was the aftermarket part that was the cause of failure.

So, Do you all confirm that there is no stock/OEM PCV valve installed down the line that separates oil and air already? I personnaly interested in this mode but it got me thinking..
My BMW PCV assembly (OEM) separates oil and air, and dumps oil back to oil pan, thus almost all oil stays in the system.
May be RAM HEMI has that feature (down the line) and all you do with catch can is just doing it ahead of the line, ofcourse you will see oil in there!?

Guys and gals, it's a catch can. It is a filtration element. Nothing more. The only impact one has it to keep your intake cleaner by dropping a considerable fraction of the oil out of the crankcase vapors before they're cycled through. Must an engine have one, no. Does it hurt to have one, no. Why don't you have one from factory - the components add cost and require regular maintenance (draining). Nothing scientific about it.

You are literally making no mechanical alteration, no performance alteration, you cannot add +1HP to your mod tally sheet, but you will have a cleaner intake if you maintain it. You have basic science and engineering on your side as well as a long history in the performance automotive world.

Some engines are worse than others, I can think of several Ford motors like the 300 cu.in. straight six, the early 2000s V8s in the Mustangs as some of the worst with oil blow by and you scratch your head why the factory didn't put a catch in considering the maintenance and performance problems without because of the blow by. The modern HEMI isn't terrible with blow by, but it doesn't hurt either. I had one on my 2014 and my maintenance was 100% dealer as they put in lifetime factory maintenance to sweeten the deal. Never an issue, and the service manager thought it a wise add, and started having the techs empty and wipe it when they changed my oil after learning I was doing it in the lot before I left! The worst I ever saw in it was 43 mL between changes and a run out to Portland and back. I'll be putting the catch can from my 2014 on the 2019 when I change the oil for the first time.

The can on my 2018 392 is same one with s mount on my 2019 Ram 5.7. You must shorten the hose a little on the Charger or lenghten on the Ram depending what can you order.:)

********** Not sure warranty will cover a dirty throttle body. I think it may fall under normal maintenance. *************

Ordered it to give it a look...
  1. SPEEDPAK shipping sucks, no way to track shipment once it arrives in US
  2. No instruction... not terrible, but you do waste time figuring out what goes where
  3. The opening on the bracket at the top is machined on the wrong side and the bolt provided barely engages (would have to but a longer bolt)
  4. Either the spacer isn't long enough or the bolt provided to attach to the block is too long, had to use two washers and two split lock washers to make it fit
  5. The hoses provided are pretty decent
  6. I didn't bother with the aluminum end caps provided
  7. Otherwise everything fits snugly and it not only unscrews, but has a drain valve

Mine was 113.00 bucks from Speed.L. fit easy and bolted right up no issues....how much was you can if I may ask?
