have you put one on you truck? There's a note on their website that you cannot reinstall the OEM engine cover after its installed.
I put one on my truck and the engine cover goes back on just fine no issues what so ever. They may be referring to years before the 18 or 19 Models which I would not know ,but 18 or 19 fits fine.

Its tomatoes tomatos. Regardless of what can you get, they're all about built the same. I went with BT from a Charger forum referral. Yes production/shipping time stinks but I'm 100% satisfied with their product and as a good portion of you fellas know....I got the OCD so I'm hard to impress.

Fun fact, All BT catch cans with Z bracket will fit any 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi.
The only difference is the hose length (as they as precut).

The catch can is the same size as well as the Z bracket. The spacer and bolt with washer, are all the same. I’ve used the same catch can from my 16 Ram Sport 5.7 to my 18 Charger 392 and now to my 19 Ram Laramie. Having said that, order one from any place for 15+ chargers/Ram/etc that require a Z bracket for fitment on the front of the motor.

And e torque and non eTorque does not matter. It won’t interfere with anything.

Has anyone checked their cans yet to see what this current batch of Hemi's are letting blow by? Interested to see how the claimed 5000mi rich break-in period affects this.

For those not wanting to wait/are impatient for the BT catch can, I can confirm that this one from Ebay works, fits, easy install... ferchrissake, it's a catch can, it shouldn't cost $135!

Kyostar catch can

I certainly won't say you 'get what you pay for', but when buying from China there are several factors (material quality, labor costs, production tolerances) which drive down the cost...

My can was a under half under full from 430 miles to 3000 miles when I done first oil change. Really dirty oil in that can.

I think the biggest factor is that there's no patent laws in China, and everything is reverse engineered.

Having said that, it's a catch can. A low pressure can with an inlet, an outlet, and something to make the heated oily bypass condense. It's not rocket science, and it doesn't involve intricate micro-tolerance moving parts.

The catch can I bought from Ebay looks nicely machined, everything fit together, and I saved some $ as a byproduct. It still wasn't 'dirt cheap'. But it just goes to show how grossly overpriced some of the things for our trucks are...

Exactly, it's just a repackaged coalescing filter, Same thing industrial plants have used on compressed air systems to catch the compressor oil for over 50 years.

And being the owner of a motorcycle, you know that MC stuff is *certainly* overpriced!
I raced motocross in my younger years and that stuff is certainly over priced, so far nothing compares to price gouging in the mountain bike world.

Ordered it to give it a look...
  1. SPEEDPAK shipping sucks, no way to track shipment once it arrives in US
  2. No instruction... not terrible, but you do waste time figuring out what goes where
  3. The opening on the bracket at the top is machined on the wrong side and the bolt provided barely engages (would have to but a longer bolt)
  4. Either the spacer isn't long enough or the bolt provided to attach to the block is too long, had to use two washers and two split lock washers to make it fit
  5. The hoses provided are pretty decent
  6. I didn't bother with the aluminum end caps provided
  7. Otherwise everything fits snugly and it not only unscrews, but has a drain valve

If you fellas think your catch can is gonna show up in the year 2018, I'll take the "over" on that wager. 8 weeks 3 days later this finally showed up.

You’d have lost that bet. Ordered mine user the 1 day sale they had and it showed up Monday morning. Going out to the shop in a few min to install it.

I just received my Billett Technology Catch Can for the Hemi. I had one on my 2011 so installing this was very similar to that one.Hope this helps.
My man! Great write up with pix & description. Install looked just like their catch can install on my 392 Daytona. I'm gonna order mine tonight.

I just pulled my Billet Technology catch can off my 392 charger in the trade for this ram. Do you guys think it's the same one they use for the these rams? I have the z bracket too. Maybe I can get a new top only that doesn't say 392 though...lol
