I tried the Fitcam out at night.

The night-time clarity is fine. It's good enough for me, anyway.

My only complaint so far is when I am behind other vehicles the license plates are overexposed. You can't read them. I'll have to adjust a bit.

That doesn't look bad at all for a $180 plug and play camera that looks like its factory installed. Id imagine the license plate thing is probably because they are reflective to begin with. Now if they'd hurry up and get the model A camera completed so I can order mine lol. Thanks for the picture

Have you cleaned the windshield? That might be an issue also.

Yes, the window is clean.

I did notice that I did not have the cam set to 4K resolution. The video looks very good now set to 4K.

I also set the exposure to -3 and it seems to be an improvement at night.

As a note: The video screenshots in the Fitcam app reduce the resolution a ton. They look nothing like the .mp4 video.

Just got my dual camera yesterday. Install was easy had it in and running in 45 minutes. However, when driving into work this morning I lost a lot of FM stations so there's interference going on from the rear camera (based on my quick research on google). I mounted the rear camera just to the passenger side of the sliding glass which also puts it near the shark fin. I assume the FM antenna is there. Anyone else have with the dual cam have this issue?

My cam hasn't arrived yet, but that does make sense, them being that close.

What if you run it on the other side . But again. Who uses radio. Lol. I usually have car play or Sirius running.

Still waiting for someone to mount the rear camera, post pics of the install, then post video footage from said camera.

Ya, i didnt op for the rear. if someone hits me from behind dont really need a camera, also didnt want to run the wire.
Yeah me neither. Especially with tint on the back glass. There was someone said he did the rear and said there were some radio interference issues. He may could provide pics for you

Installed mine yesterday. (No rear cam)
Looks like the perfect solution. Had a little trouble getting it to hook up to the phone app but I went on some errands and looked at the phone when I got home and it had been recording the whole time I was driving. Should be some nice car wash footage on there 😆

If it performs like it looks then it’s going to be an absolute winner. Installation was a breeze.

Ya apps a bit wonky. You i had to go into airplane mode and then turn on Wi-Fi to connect. Otherwise it didnt want to connect, and would default to my cell provider or jump back to car play. Once I figured out airplane mode it worked great.

I hate poorly coded apps that use wifi connection and require you to turn off mobile data in order to use.

After the initial installation, you will want to check out the video a couple times, under different scenarios, to see how it's working, and to show friends and family, but after that, there is really no need to view videos, unless there is an event. You can also just pop out the card, and view on a computer, where you have a larger screen.

I want to order one but can’t decide whether I want to get the back just yet. I would get the “B” style but does it come with everything for the fuse box cable for when you buy the front and back camera? On website it basically just shows what’s in box on This looks so much better than any other dash cam because it’s like it’s OEM seems to have really good quality day/night.

You don't wire it to the fuse box, unless you're trying to have constant power. As long as you only need it to run when the ignition is on, all the wiring comes from the harness (included) that taps into the mirror. Even with the rear cam, it taps into there.
