Agreed, Around us they wouldn’t even talk anything below MSRP. It was crazy. We are a 1000 miles from Mark Dodge but figured we would make a vacation out of picking it up. The saving will pay for a long weekend in New Orleans🍾 but won’t net much under the FWP price.

Can we make this more available some how.
Find out if your dealership honors this. You have to do the $100 membership. Read what it offers

They had me do that when I put in my order. That way I could be set up with the friends and family discount. I got a t-shirt:) but the registration is good for a year. But I think the thousands that you save at the dealership is well worth the $100 donation, to a good cause I guess, other than just a t-shirt:)

It has shipped.

4 days from production to "built" seems to be the norm I'm seeing for people with 23's that are moving through the process. I am a bit baffled that my truck has been "In Production" since 12/10 and is still sitting in FRAME. 8 days with no movement. I'm getting a bit nervous, but I'm also really just getting tired of checking daily and being let down so I think the best strategy here is to just forget Ive even ordered the damn thing  Driving around the F250 V10 loaner I've got is getting old though...y'all think these Rams get bad mileage, I'm averaging 8MPG in that SOB!

That v10 is nasty around town I hear on the highway it's ok. I don't understand how some move fast and others are slow. Prays soon buddy

Yours was made on the same day mine was and mine's still shows that it's not shipped yet. Super bummed! But super happy for you too dude.
X2. All 3 of us have the same In Production and Built Dates.
I emailed my Dealer in case they needed to be "nudged" to move things along...

I applaud the effort, but dealers have no control over what happens until it shows up at their dealership. They get invoices (and have to pay) before it ships, and they’re just as frustrated as we are when there are shipping delays.

I think you're not in terrible shape. Among the 8 different area dealers I shopped before pulling the trigger back in Sept., FWP was the norm. I did however put down a deposit and got a signed Buyer's Order for the FWP at the time, not a penny more. Now per my window sticker, MSRP has gone up $685 (roughly split between Rebel base price increase and Level 2 package increase), which means the dealer is going to eat the increase (or else! 😅). Without the signed Buyer's Order, yes they can try to pass an increase on to you, but you always have the ability to negotiate/raise hell, or walk.

If you put down a deposit, then your order should qualify for Sold Order Protection. That means you're eligible for whatever incentives/financing deals apply to your truck *at the time of delivery*. The dealer cannot deny you those benefits, they're from RAM. So while it's true that they don't know what your "out the door" price would be, since RAM incentives/financing change every month, they surely could've told you what your out the door FWP price would be, less those (unknown) incentives. The signed Buyer's Order is the tool that locks that down.

I'm satisfied to get the Sept. FWP. I thought about Mark Dodge but they're far from me, didn't feel like the added cost/hassle of getting the truck back home, and wanted to build a relationship with this local dealer for their added perks and service.

Good luck! 🍺
Thanks for the input! I feel a lot better about it. I guess I just figured we were in a climate where everybody was charging over MSRP, I was happy to get just a bit under that but was wondering if I didn’t negotiate as well as I should have.

I’d love your opinion on this as well. My truck is now scheduled to arrive a little bit sooner. I should have it by 1/06. When I ordered my truck about three months ago, I went to CarMax to see how much I could get for my 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid. I purchased it brand new in 2019. I’ve put 130k miles on it and was T-Boned by someone on their cell phone causing a lot of damage. CarMax offered 20k for it three months ago. I went to get it appraised again yesterday and they‘re only giving me 16.5k for it now. Am I better off selling it to CarMax or try to trade it in at the dealer? It’s paid off and the dealer is aware that I was looking to sell it to CarMax. According to them, three months ago, “CarMax is unbeatable.”

I did the same thing as well when the list was put out yesterday with all the production status updates but I have not heard back from them yet. Mine showed built on the 14th, some other folks are getting theirs shipped today, which were built on same day. I don't know if I should start getting worried now or not, but I won't. But one thing I did notice when I was looking through some of those build sheets was on the big horns I did not see any 23 gallon fuel tanks. They all showed 26 or 33s. I'm super excited about that too.

FWIW in Louisiana we get a sales tax credit whenever we trade in. Basically if I get 30k trade in value, I get that amount of sales tax credited towards the new vehicle. I took my Silverado to a local wholesaler, got a high offer, and brought that to my dealer. They met me at it. Not sure if other states do that.

I also went ahead and traded in rather than risk riding around and getting hit while I waited. It’s been tough on the marriage for the laat five months as a single car household, but I’m glad I did it. Other drivers are idiots. And the used market is starting to cool.

Can’t wait for triple_b to post window stickers 😁

Thanks for the info, next time I order I will keep this in mind, avoiding the trip would definitely be easier. At least Mark dodge beat that price and there is zero negotiation. they do make it super easy, and I get to check out New Orleans for a few days.
