is the security by pass cable needed for all 2019 vehicles to do programming or just certain vehicles? Also I have an obd plug that goes from my computer via a usb end to my obd connector, it is for my pulsar unit that piggy backs to the ecm, do you think i could use that cable and run the alphaobd program? or do i need to buy the wireless plug in part?

I just got done putting a 12" in my big horn. was not a hard job. you must follow instructions word by word. Now that it is in, it is very enjoyable. Went from a limited to a big horn and now trying to put a few luxury items in the big horn.

Is this accurate to make a FULL conversion? or am I missing something?

I ordered part number 68082364AC LVDS cable and it is 31". It was easier to assemble with my fat fingers.

So I purchased AlfaOBD, for 2021 Ram Rebel 12" UConnect to program Performance Pages.

Performance pages are working on the Uconnect. But I am not getting anything on the cluster just a blank page, Did I miss something ?

I changed settings
VehConfig 1-Performance Pages Present = YES
VehConfig 2-Off-road Capable =YES
VehConfig 5-Off-Road Pages Present =YES

and I also set it to
VehConfig 1-Special Package - DT TRX/Laramie Limited

Truck shows 4WD needs service when set to SRT ON, so that is now OFF

So far it has been the most stable the radio has ever been both CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. The update also allows Off Road and Performance pages. Still tinkering with the pages though. That being said this is a retrofit and SiriusXM Guardian does not work anyway.

when you do the update, what files are in root? There is that same folder in two different places. Do I just pick one?

Don't use the _MACOSX folder one.
Use the one from UCONNECT_12_UAX_PR39.7.
Only copy the folder VP4R_Update to the root of an empty USB Drive. Do not copy the .DS_Store file to the USB Drive.

finally had a chance to get the performance pages turned on. Everything seems to work except the g-forces and pitch &roll never moves always at zero. Anyone else have this? I would think the vehicle has a yaw rate sensor in it somewhere. 2019 ram limited.

I think the sensor is only in the off road package, mine does not work either.

Hardware part number is: CNSC28NOGL
1- Can this be updated to 39.7?
2- Install 34.2 first and then 39.7?
3- Has anyone with the same hardware version done it successfully?
My factory warranty just ended, dont want to risk turning the unit in to a brick!

You need version 39.7.0 and AlfaOBD to turn them on.

Regarding current pricing. I have a 2020 8.4 with no-nav. I just spent about $1800 on all the parts last night. All new. Folks on eBay are wanting more than that for used. now I wait for delivery…….
