Maybe YOU should read better. This thread isn’t about UC5 systems. Your post has NO relevance here Dumb a s s. Maybe you should go post about the update in the exterior forum. It’ll have just as much relevance there also.

Like I said it would be just as relevant in the exterior forum as it is here. FYI or not moron. 😂😂 read it or not. I’m sooooo hurt you blocked me. UC5 updates are not relevant to 2021 and earlier models. There I spelled it out for you. Maybe you just don’t understand English.

Well, I successfully installed it in my UC4 today. I had it installing while I was driving. It blocks some screen functions while installing, but it installed fine.

I did not have to do any updates before installing.

Yeah 2021 map and software update jacked mine up hours and hours of deactivating and deactivating I’ve found the culprit but waiting for a fix. Billy2j try hitting your assist or sos button if they say you need to activate services it’s because SiriusXM guardian connection has been bugged with your system just like mine. You need Sirius xm guardian to online map locations not stored on ur head unit. After doin circles with the dealer Uconnect and SiriusXM guardian I finally convinced someone at SiriusXM guardian that my system is trying to activate a service that is already activated so they need to either reset my service and restart new or figure out how to re establish my SiriusXM guardian connection. Don’t let them tell you it’s a hardware issue it’s most definitely software related. I should know more on a fix in the next 24-48 hours.
Thanks for the information, Assist and SOS buttons do not work, Guardian says it is a dealer issue. Here we go with the very same endless circle. Let me know if you find the answer....

Yessir I’m still working on it. I found that my IMEI number was different than what ATT have on file. I tried using my wifi still have some trial left. It would connect to the wifi but show no internet. After calling ATT I got them to update their system with the IMEI displayed on unit and wifi started working. So I’ll be bugging guardian to give me some system information that I can match up with mine and maybe see if something is off.

The update is now "Out of stock :cry:"

Not sure how a map update, can be out of stock... Happy to pay if anyone has the USB sticks.

Does anyone have a copy of the USB they used? I have a weird one: WORLD-SBX-12.1
It's tied to your VIN, can't use it on multiple vehicles. Besides, the "update" maps are 2 or 3 years old in the update, why waste the money? Just use the map on your phone.

Since my maps are from 2017, I'd dearly love to update them, but would also love to avoid the nightmare of screwing my nav system (I don't subscribe to Guardian- the last software update finally made in-cab location look-up possible, so I didn't pay just to be able to push a destination from my phone). Any 2019 models out there buy & install successfully? For that matter, it'd be interesting to hear from those with ANY model year who were able to update the maps without incident. Forums always generate 10x's more negative content than positive...

Not for the 2022. Totally different system for maps and software.

I have a 2019 limited that is experiencing the same issue. Everything worked and then I did the map upgrade. I am subscribed to Guardian but the Assist and SOS buttons as well as the Nav search feature is not working. I opened a ticket with Sirius Guardian and got an email that I should let the car run for 30 minutes and repeat 3 times and if that didn't work make an appointment with the dealer. Needless to say I am dropping my truck off at the dealer. I hope they can do something, very frustrating to pay for a service, pay for an upgrade and then it gets broken and can't use it.

@RamCares, if you are listening, can you provide any help or work with the dealer and possibly find a solution for everyone?

I have the exact same issue - all connected services longer function, i.e. SOS-911, Speak and Go navigation, Send and Go Navigation (wifi hot spot and remote lock/unlock and remote start are fine though). Talked to Sirius XM Guardian, they're not the correct people (I also did the wait 30 min three time stuff - no fix), but they did comp me a month of charges since the service is not working.

You need to talk with Uconnect and open a ticket, then escalate it up to their "Connected Services" team. They are the ones that claim to be able to fix the problem. The Uconnect team told me do not go to the dealer just yet. They want to send a reset signal to my truck. They claim this should fix it. Unfortunately they are very slow in getting the ticket created and the reset signal sent - maybe the holidays caused the slowdown. If the reset every gets sent and does not fix the problem, then a trip to the dealer may be needed to get a replacement radio. FYI, I have a 2020 1500 Limited formerly with Sirius XM Guardian connected services :(

Thanks for that. I don't use Guardian's services, but NAV search (non verbal) works without Guardian - so I guess I'll forego this new map update until I see posts confirming a future version won't screw the pooch.
