Ordered my ADD Stealth Fighter fromt bumper! Now come the long 12 weeks for it to ship really hoping it gets done faster.

I bought and installed one of these a few months back and it looks great. Let me know if you have any questions on winch mounts, clearances or anything else. It was a pain in the rear, mine took nearly 12 weeks to ship and 6 hrs to install.

Yeah, this really makes no sense when you can option a Ram 1500 to 75k+.
A 2500 or 3500 from Ford, GM or Ram can easily pass $100k.
I'd base a decision for a contractor off his work, not what they drive.

That the entire point. What they drive doesn’t matter hahaha.

Anyone installed the amp power boards themselves? Dealer was suppose to but they took too long so I canceled and ordered it myself. Don’t know if to take it to a shop that is charging me 300$ to do it or just tackle it myself

There are a few good threads on this site that cover the install. If I remember correctly, the wire routing is the most time consuming part. You can also buy the Ram Power Steps and use AlfaOBD to activate the steps through the U Connect screen. I have it’s not worth paying a shop $300 to do. Only takes a couple hours to do yourself. If you go this route install the passenger motor first onto the bracket or you won’t be able to get to all the Allen key heads that holds the dust shield onto the motor.


Edit: Make sure you have everything included in the kit… when I ordered mine I went to install everything got the steps/brackets/motors attached went to grab the wiring out of the box… nothings missing the harness/obd ll port/ led lights, leds wasn’t a issue since I still had a set of Amp steps from my old 4th gen sitting in storage but of course the harness and obd || port was missing so I was stuck and was flying out the next day so I pulled everything off until I came back a few months later. Amp support did have everything missed mailed to my house a few days later.

Added a "full size" spare.

Back story: I was visiting family last weekend about 100 miles from home. Sunday morning I woke up to a flat rear tire. Got my spare put on, but it was the 245/70r18 temporary use only spare. Long story short I didn't want to drive all the way home on it in the rain so I found a shop that was open and waited several hours to get my tire repaired. This weekend I replaced the temporary spare with a close to full size. I reused the wheel and put a 265/70r18 tire on it. It measures 32.6 inches. I have the stock Bridgestone 32 inch tires now and I plan to move up to 33's on my next set so I figured this size would work for both in a pinch.

Just for info, based on my research the "full size spare" is a temporary use spare vice a compact or donut spare. It means limited treadlife and 50 mph max. It had a load rating of 110 = 2337# and a S speed rating. Enough to get you home w/o problems. For reference stock Bridgestone Duelers are 113 load rating = 2535# and a T speed rating.

I did! Wasn’t too hard honestly. Just be patient and for the hood measure twice.

The sides of the heat shield have about an inch gap. There's about half the space further up closer to the axle. There's also at least an inch between the tire and the back of the hitch. I'd say a 33 would fit no problem, any larger and you might have to adjust the heat shield a bit.

I ordered mine a year ago and it came in 4 days. Bummer lead times have gone up so much. Install was super easy and the fit is amazing. Well worth it!
