What did you do to your Ram today???

This right here is the single best reason why I would want a split tailgate. Absolute freaking genius. Wow!


2019 Ram 1500 ORP “long bed” - setting #5 bilsteins, 2”mopar ucas, hellwig sway bar, tonneau cover, bed mat, 20” Laramie sport wheels on 285/60r20 falkens. Flowmaster outlaw.

YEP of all the fancy tailgates out there, this one makes the most sense. That step is perfectly placed then I just grab the tail and move the bike over against the other side of the bed and strap it down.

I admire you guys for pushing your bikes up into the bed of these ridiculously tall trucks. Also doesn't help that I'm on the shorter side.

I have a dirt bike trailer for times when I'm bringing more than 1 bike, but for transporting just 1 bike, I made the switch to a Moto-Jack-Rack.

It literally takes me 1-1.5 minutes to load or unload and absolutely no straining to get it done.

The older I got the harder it was to push it up that damn ramp, especially at the end of the day.

I have NEVER pushed up a bike. My sport bike (Kawasaki ZX12R) is about 515 lb and I ride it up the ramp. I used to do it with a foot ramp on only the left side. Then I'd like lean to the left with one foot on the foot ramp. Now, I have a left and right foot ramp and I ride it up.

For my dirt bike, at...I dunno...280lb? I walk beside it with the bike running in gear. I just use the clutch, brake and gas simultaneously and lean it a bit toward me. Works fine.

Unloading either bike, I do not have them running. I just go backward and use the brake to control speed down the ramp.

I have been fortunate, wherever I load/unload away from home, to find enough slope to decrease the angle of the ramp. Yesterday, I unloaded at an elementary school, and used their wheelchair accessible entrance ramp. At home, I just park at the bottom of the driveway and put my ramps in the driveway. Every inch helps (That's what she said!).

I'm only 5'8" / 145lb, so I don't have any height or he-man strength advantages.

That's a cool device! The jack just clamps the footpegs? That's enough to keep it from shifting left to right (driver side to passenger side)? Do you use a strap like in the video? Not sure where near the clutch cable he was placing it, and not sure why he did it.

I'd need to check the jack weight limit and the hitch weight limit. My WR250R weighs closer to 300 lb than 250 lb, and it's a 4-stroke, not a featherweight 2-stroke.

I have a skid plate on mine and I've never had it on an engine cradle or stand before. I'd need to confirm it will sit like that.
 
I grew up with work dogs so this is all new to me. First dog I've had that lives in doors so I thought that's how you get rid of fur. I've never heard of a Furminator. Sorry.

A quick overview on why shaving isn't in your dog's best interest. It seems like it would be helpful, but it really isn't. 🙂

I agree! I didn't want it at first but I use it more than the regular way. Plus, I see the GMC Denali tailgate and it just doesn't seem very useful.
 
The sides of the heat shield have about an inch gap. There's about half the space further up closer to the axle. There's also at least an inch between the tire and the back of the hitch. I'd say a 33 would fit no problem, any larger and you might have to adjust the heat shield a bit.
34" fits no problem and without any adjustments. It's tight, but it fits.
 
Went away for the weekend for my nephew's wedding. Planned on coming home yesterday, but I just couldn't make myself do it after being out all night Saturday. Too old to party with the kids any more I guess. So we got up early this morning, broke down camp, and drove straight to work. Parked in a secluded spot in the back at work, running the fridge on propane til I get home tonight. Then the cleaning begins.

Started doing the leveling kit during my lunch! This is a 2" MotoFab leveling puck for the front struts.

Anyone installed the amp power boards themselves? Dealer was suppose to but they took too long so I canceled and ordered it myself. Don’t know if to take it to a shop that is charging me 300$ to do it or just tackle it myself

Installed the DeeZee tie downs. Would recommend. 250# limit each. Comes with OEM-style hex shaped nutserts and a great little ball bearing tool to set the nutserts. I used a small file and box cutter to remove the spray liner in the hex holes. Nutserts slid right in. Easy to do both in 15 min. 5mm allen wrench and 10mm box end wrench for the nutsert tool and 4mm allen wrench for the screws.

I told myself for years that I would NEVER spend $30 on a dog brush. I've always had Catahoula's and they really didn't shed all that much. Then I got my lab mix and she's an inside only dog. I have light cream tile floors and I see her hair EVERYWHERE. I had to vacuum the floors and our carpeted rooms daily and I'd have to dump the canister multiple times when doing so with all her hair.

I finally said screw it and bought this dang brush and 10/10 NO REGRETS. This thing is amazing. I'm sure there could be cheaper alternatives, but I've probably spend over $100 on different deshedding brushes and none of them do what the furminator can. I selected "Short hair" for the type and they sent me the "Long hair" version. Works fantastic. I even use this on my Blue Lacy who has extremely short hair and barely sheds and this thing took so much of his loose hairs out. My floors aren't littered with Lulu hair anymore 🥳

I did one set which is 2 tie downs.
I like that each tie down uses 2 nutserts in the sheetmetal. The short bed can fit a total of 8 tie downs, 4 per side.
