This morning I wanted to go offroading with the wife and her jeep, but I've been dying to put on my front tow/recovery hooks. Finally is on...and ready to go to the pine Barron's of NJ. In 30 degree weather it was a little challenging to do this outside, but I wanted to get it done.

Been prepping the hooks for days then painted it earlier in the week with some raptor blue bed liner after I did a light sanding. Painted the bezels with factory color paint as well. But you can't see it here in the pic.

These look awesome but the install instructions look horrendous.

The instructions are pretty on point. I will say the most time consuming part was taken off the front fascia. So many pop tabs and you’ll be sure to want a pop tab tool. Other than that its simple minus the cutting. Just tedious more than anything but they are great in the snow and not the brightest but light up what you’ll need.

How difficult was the install? Time consuming? Worth it for the light output?

Used my Alpha OBD, OBD LinkMX+ and KaodTECH Security Bypass Module and disabled my High Beam Fog Light Dropout today.

Put the same tint film on the mirror turn signals that I used on the chmsl. Might be a little dark, but at least the chrome isn’t staring me in the face now.

Man, you have more patience than I do, haha! I ordered the same tint for turn signals and CHMSL. I could not for the life of me get them straight. I kept getting creases in them. I would consider myself as having above average mechanical skills, but, I’m a roughneck at heart and it got the best of me. I ended up crumpling them all up and tossing them !

Where they black or chrome to start? I’m thinking about doing my chrome ones black.

Traded in my 19 for a 2021, this past weekend and Linex hooked it up with a fresh bedliner.

How much did they charge? This truck is the first one out of 3 that didn’t come from dealer with bedliner!

Do you have a link to where you got the film from?

It was nothing special or a high-end film, but for $12 I got a crapload of it and it does the job. It does have a slight honeycomb that’s slightly visible when the light is actually on, but for the turn signals and chmsl it fits the bill.

This was just a cheap vinyl film off Amazon. The first side took me 3 tries since even with heat I was getting creases. I took a break and went in with a little more patience and finally got it figured out. Heated the film up a little before laying it down and it went on much better and required less heat and effort to get it to follow the lines.

I bet this would be slightly easier than the precut pieces. Just lay it and then cut with Exacto Knife. I will try this!!
