Yes. You need conditional rebates to get down to 18% -- military, Realtor, etc. The only way you go beyond 20% will move into circumstances beyond normal, which I outlined in another post. You're not going to get 20%+ on a 2021. But you can get that on a 2020 leftover, or if the dealer needs to hit his sales goal for the big bonus, or it's what they used to call a program car or a loaner or a demo. There has to be circumstances beyond your tenacious charisma.
The problem when ordering a new Ram, at least what I was told is, the discounts cannot be determined until you've ordered it & the truck delivers.

I wanted to share a little more about my experience with Aaron at Mark Dodge.
Service after the sale and integrity are very important to me. Aaron has worked with me to switch my registration from a new car to transferring tags from a car I am selling; this is saving me extra time and expense from dealing with this after the fact. More importantly, when doing the deal, Aaron was unsure if I would qualify for an incentive. He said he had to do the deal minus it but would file for it after the sale and would cut me a check if it was approved. Here we are over a month after the sale and Aaron confirmed the incentive was approved and he’s cutting me a check for $500. Talk about honesty and integrity!
That sounds like a terrific example of customer focus

The dealer discount can negotiated now. Incentives/rebates will be determined when truck arrives. Get it in writing or email that they will not be using anything in their pricing that will interfere with you getting any available incentives/rebates.

You want 5% to 8% below factory invoice now plus any available incentives/rebates when the truck arrives.

Ended up with this deal if anyone was wondering.

2021 Big Horn -4x4
Night Edition
Premium Lighting
eTorque Hemi
Big Horn Lvl 2 Package

MSRP: 52,500.00
Discounts: 3071.00
Rebates: 7000.00

Price: 42,429 + Tax/title/tags

For some reason they kept pushing my rebates instead of discounts, which i was kinda upset about since discount money lowered tax money, but it was probably something they were messing with to get them more money. Total 10k off, right around 20%

probably true for most but my GM said I get the incentives when I ordered the truck and if they better I'll get those instead. I got it in writing to hold him to it.

I posted this in another thread I started, but thought I'd post it here as well.
Well, got my first build quote. MSRP is $61,540. First offer is $52,961 with the $2k in rebates included in that. Almost 14% off MSRP. I'm holding for now. I'm looking for closer to 18%. Like others I was told if there were more rebates or higher rebates when truck arrived I'd get those. For being in Arizona I'm looking at around $57,500 OTD. Hoping to stay under $55k.

Engine: 5.7L V8 HEMI MDS VVT Etorque
Ivory White Tri-Coat Pearlcoat
Night Edition
Off Road Group
Laramie Level 2 Equipment Group
Trailer Brake Control
33 Gallon Fuel Tank
Price with Options
$61,540

They also offer bigger rebates for the Big Horn for some reason. I wouldn't mind going that route if I could get leather, but need the Laramie for that.

Get Katzkin covers...you have a greater selection and very reasonably prices. Others have done it and they look amazing!

This is so crazy close to my exact same deal. '21 BH MSRP $51,950 minus all rebates / dealer discount came to $42,100 + TTL. 20% off is reasonable and I was happy w/ the deal.

Damn these deals you guys are getting on the BH are very tempting. Wish they had the pearl white option. I'm looking at $13k more for the Laramie really just for leather and the color I want.

As was stated above, if it's just "leather" you can go aftermarket.

Remember that the Pearl White is very difficult to touch up or match in a BOO-BOO.

I am currently lookin at a 2020 Laramie Longhorn Crew, MSRP is 69940, listed at 61914. Could you help me with what figure I should go in to start negotiations, as you can see the vehicle is a year old and looking at the inspection sticker has been on the lot since July. I know this is crazy but I currently own a 2020 RAM Limited but I like the color and interior color of the Longhorn. Any idea what I would be giving up going to the Longhorn as far as features. This Longhorn has the Equipment 1 package.

Damn, why did you have to bring logic and sense to this thread lol. Now you have me second guessing my build. You're absolutely right though. I do a lot of hunting and camping, so going with pearl white is probably not the right thing to do . I guess that moves me to white then. I really like the night edition black on the white paint. Already had the granite grey and silver is too close to that. Want something different this time.

The main thing you would lose is air ride if it isn't on the options. I got mine with air ride and has all the same stuff the limited has plus technology group.

So for those ordering, how does a trade in work? If it could take 8 weeks to order your vehicle before it is delivered, isn't your trade constantly devaluing or are you required to surrender it at the time the order is placed?
