Don’t think rebates will improve unless the production lines get going at full speed.

Hesitant to ask this question....but it may be feasible!

Has anyone heard of and/or know if a dealership is able to swap out the stock 26 gallon fuel tank from one truck to the upgraded 33 gallon?

This is a huge factor for me and many legit truck listings are falling short due to this.

Thanks all.

Nope. A few threads on that subject that’s dealers don’t like doing.

Second what Boston said. Look at the options you know are must have's and that can't be added after purchase or at purchase. Tonneaus, mats, etc. can always be added at purchase or afterwards but RamBox, MFT, 3.92, 33-gallon, etc. really can't be without EXORBITANT cost. I know it sucks when you find that one that is almost there but if it's missing something you know you want, just keep looking and wait. It's not worth the regret later.

And just in case you didn't know this (and i don't what model your thinking about) i think even when some say 26 gallon, its been changed to the 23 Gallon and NOT posted on the window sticker... Sometimes it states that its equipped with the smaller tank, but NOT always, so IF u do decide to settle, make sure you don't settle on a 26 and wind up on a 23 when you REALLY wanted a 33....

i know for me having a 33 IS a deal breaker, a 26 could mayyyyyyyyyyyybbeeee do if every OTHER option i wanted was on it, but a 23?! no thank u! i'd be seeing that dang thing every day & kicking myself!

Dang thing gets poor enuf MPG without a FULL TANK stating it has less than 350 DTE!

Or just order. The more specific you are (other than perhaps wanting it equipped for heavier trailer towing, if so see Dennis Dillon RAM for those trucks), the better off you are to order your exact vehicle. You will likely find an excess of 23/26 gallon 3.21’s and 3.92’s anti-spin on lots, with not near as many having ORG, E-locker, MFT, ramboxes, all those hard to change things.

Anyone know off hand the last day to order a 2020 1500? We are looking to get a Hydro Blue Laramie for my wife (she is dead set on that color)?

Valid points on the fuel tank and doing a truck order.

Little Miss, I believe if the truck is equipped with the eTorque 5.7, the stock factory tank is 23 gallon on the window sticker even if the 26 gallon is listed on the left side column.

I found a few online in MN with eTorque and 33 gallon as an add-on. They didn't offer me any Riot Rebates so I decline....but seriously some of the most arrogant sales dudes I've dealt with.

What’s “ORG”? I tried to search here and on google. Saw the acronym twice today and can’t figure it out. - Paul G.

The tank is 26 gallons. The gauge reads 23 with 3 in reserve. 33 is likely the same, gauge reads 30 and there's a 3 gallon reserve.

Hello there! You may want to take a look at the following post on this:

In summary, it apparently cost the guy $1200, with 25% discount from his dealer.

Best,

Geoff

EDIT: Just now seeing others had already chimed in on this. Please ignore if it goes against what others have said :)

This is confusing because on the Ram build page the gas tank options still are:
33-Gallon Fuel Tank $445
26-Gallon Fuel Tank (Replace 23-Gallon) $0
But then again, they only added the Comfort and Convenience Group option for the Rebel on that page in April.

Are you saying the 23 gallon tank listed on window stickers is in fact the same 26 gallon tank also listed on the window stickers?

WHAT????????
Electrical energy in the eTorque system is stored in a 30 pound, 430 watt-hour LG Chem battery pack mounted at the rear wall of the pickup cab.

23 gallon comes with the e-torque trucks that would normally come with the 26 gallon tanks. The battery pack sits where that other 3 gallons would be.

eTorque battery is behind the rear seat. Fuel tank is under the driver side bed
