Hesitant to ask this question....but it may be feasible!
Has anyone heard of and/or know if a dealership is able to swap out the stock 26 gallon fuel tank from one truck to the upgraded 33 gallon?
This is a huge factor for me and many legit truck listings are falling short due to this.
Thanks all.
Thanks Boston. Had to get some confirmation on that....back to the hunt.

Or just order. The more specific you are (other than perhaps wanting it equipped for heavier trailer towing, if so see Dennis Dillon RAM for those trucks), the better off you are to order your exact vehicle. You will likely find an excess of 23/26 gallon 3.21’s and 3.92’s anti-spin on lots, with not near as many having ORG, E-locker, MFT, ramboxes, all those hard to change things.Second what Boston said. Look at the options you know are must have's and that can't be added after purchase or at purchase. Tonneaus, mats, etc. can always be added at purchase or afterwards but RamBox, MFT, 3.92, 33-gallon, etc. really can't be without EXORBITANT cost. I know it sucks when you find that one that is almost there but if it's missing something you know you want, just keep looking and wait. It's not worth the regret later.

Right, but not EVERYONE knows that, just anotha "gotcha"...Thanks FCA!!Valid points on the fuel tank and doing a truck order.
Little Miss, I believe if the truck is equipped with the eTorque 5.7, the stock factory tank is 23 gallon on the window sticker even if the 26 gallon is listed on the left side column.
I found a few online in MN with eTorque and 33 gallon as an add-on. They didn't offer me any Riot Rebates so I decline....but seriously some of the most arrogant sales dudes I've dealt with.
Off road groupWhat’s “ORG”? I tried to search here and on google. Saw the acronym twice today and can’t figure it out. - Paul G.
Thanks. Going to bed and feeling a bit stupid.Off road group

Hello there! You may want to take a look at the following post on this:
Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank
When I was shopping for my truck in the US, the only options were 26 and 33. The 'Classic' 1500 had an option for 23.5thgenrams.com
In summary, it apparently cost the guy $1200, with 25% discount from his dealer.
Best,
Geoff
EDIT: Just now seeing others had already chimed in on this. Please ignore if it goes against what others have said
The tank is 26 gallons. The gauge reads 23 with 3 in reserve. 33 is likely the same, gauge reads 30 and there's a 3 gallon reserve.
23 gallon comes with the e-torque trucks that would normally come with the 26 gallon tanks. The battery pack sits where that other 3 gallons would be.
