At least the ads that covered my Note 9 screen seem to be eliminated. I have no problem scanning past the occasional ads in threads and those on the borders.

Just saw this post now. No the ad takeover was not intentional and yes it's been straightened out.

Regarding the recent ad issues and what is going on with the site

Have no plans on selling out. I find corporate owned sites are never nearly as good as privately owned ones.
