Wind noise

I know the feeling, seems like I am getting the run around at this point to keep me from doing the lemon law thing. Ram sure in the heck could care less, otherwise they would do more to talk to the ones that are having this issue.

They'll open a case for you!

I have a 2019 1500 limited, and have a horrible noise as well. I would describe it as a howl, and only happens at highway speeds on a windy day. My fear of taking it to the shop without diagnosing it is on a calm day, they are going to have to go pretty fast to try to replicate it (90ish), but on windy days it happens at lower speeds (60-70). I don't see them being willing to drive it that fast
Hopefully the yt link below works and you can hear the howling/whistling. Anyone else's sound like that?
I have this exact sound!! Did you find out what it is??

They did and I was closed as quick as it was opened. Basically I was told to give them the chance to fix the issue. Currently I am at the 4 week mark for 3 seals which I was told they would be here the 21st of Feb. Seems like dragging feet to me.

Sadly I didn't get anywhere with my case either. I'm now at the point where I just tell my passengers that the wind noise is a feature with the new Ram.

I pin pointed my whistling noise to the top front corner were it starts down the A pillar. I put one of those round bungee cords in between the door and frame and it goes away. If you stick your fingers in the curve you can feel the door flapping with the wind. I took it into the dealership and they couldn’t duplicate the noise so they couldn’t do anything. I’m thinking about putting extra weather stripping in the corner because I feel like the seals are too small/soft to expand when the door moves. Noise always happens at highway speeds in windy conditions. Usually if the wind is coming from left, right door whistles and vice versa.

Can you post a pic of exactly where you are referring the whistle is coming from?

This is on both sides. Dealership won’t do anything until they can recreate the noise. Guess customer is never right with them even though I gave them the specific problem, location and what I did to mitigate the problem.

Check this out @Posse07

Hi @Posse07 - If you attempt to address this with your dealer any further, please be sure to follow up with us via PM. We are more than happy to get you connected with a specialist for further support through that process.

Update my last post was 2/26/2020. I took my truck back to the dealership the following Monday 3/2/2020. Today is 4/11/2020 and my truck is still in the shop. FCA said the dealership has replaced the windshield and again nothing has changed. Last week I called Chrysler and told them it’s been about two weeks and I’ve heard nothing about what’s going on with my truck. The lady I talked to asked me what I would like them to do at their point “if we can fix the truck and make it 100% do you want it back or do you want us to do a buyback” I told her at this point as many times as they have taken apart and put back together the interior I feel like me truck isn’t anything close to new anymore so a buyback would be ideal. Keep in mind I’ve only had the truck in my possession for 10-12 days since I purchased it on 1/15/2020. That was over a week ago and I’ve yet to hear anything from the dealership or Chrysler. The total lack of respect to the customers at this point is killing the Chrysler brand to me. Completely disappointed! I love the new rams but after this I guess I’ll try a Chevy or Ford ‍♂️

I'd love for Ram to call me back and offer that. Doubtful as I have been dealing with this for months. RAM CARES think you might chime in and get me an offer?

2019 bighorn. I have the whistling sound in the front corner of driver side window. If I tape the area the cowel clicks into on the windshield it will go away. (Covering drivers side to halfway down the windshield) unfortunately cant reclick the cowl in with the tape. Dealer ship tried some "dummy silicone" guess it doesent harden as quickly inside the metal groves botton of windshield. They have replaced the windshield still making it. There going to replace the cowl next. They said all the bolts are tight under the cowl. I just want a fix this is driving me nuts.

Anyone have this with a 2020? I have not looked through whole thread but have only seen 2019 as having the issue.

Could you take a pic of where you taped?

I saw the corners on the rear pass are more “loose” than on the drivers rear
I am going to use 1/4 weather stripping all around the rear pass door

I have the same whistle noise, not the teapot sound. Where exactly did you tape?

I have a 2020 week old Longhorn with the whistle sound, not teapot sound. I have not been able to take it to the dealer because of the virus nonsense.
