Wheel Spacers

Well I've decided I will order the 2" front and 2.5" rear from BORA.

Upon more investigations of the bracket. If I get any rubbing I am just going to bend that bracket upwards, it's almost 1/2" wide which is a bunch of space gained. All that bracket does is hold the fender liner back and the Bushwackers don't go that far. So I'm not concerned about bending it back if I need too.

I just cut mine off & that corner i wanted the most clearance

I’m looking to keep my stock 20” wheels that ha e +18mm offset. With a 3” front lift, I’m hoping the Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/65r/20 (35.12”x11.77” measured from an 8.5” wheel).

I’m thinking these 1/2” spacers will bump me out enough (should have me at about +5mm offto keep me off the UCAs but not enough to rub the wheel well at full lock. I’m not looking for anything real wide or aggressive looking. Just good fit without having to trim anything
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Is my math correct?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

 
Bora says no loctite.. opinions?

I have 2” Bora all around with no loctite. After installing them I drove on them for 50-100 miles checked them to make sure everything stayed tight . No problems and well worth the money
 
Posted in another thread but thought I'd share.

Cut fender liner bracket in anticipation of the 2" front spacers. Test fitted 1.5" and they were close. Some members don't have issue with 2" spacers and the bracket but because of the lift it pulled front tires in about 1/4 to 1/2"

I’m running 2” spacers with factory Rebel wheels and tires on a leveling kit. No modification or rubbing.

That said, I’d love to go to 34 or 35” tires... which I’m sure is going to cause me some trouble!

That would explain why you don't have issues with the 33" tires that come with the Rebel.

35" is really large. With 1.5" wheel spacers I could get away with but 2" definitely now. With the 1.5" under normal driving wouldn't be an issue but with some flex they would have rubbed.

Being that my truck is leveled and lifted (3" suspension on front) that pulled my wheels into the fender which put the track the same as the rear. That maybe have contributed as well.

We shall see when my spacers come in what kind of space cutting the bracket gained me

I'm running the exact same. Minor rubbing on drivers side at full crank..mostly when backing out of driveway.

I would like to go 285/65/20 (34.6x11.2) and I have 2” Bora wheel spacers all around and leveled with ORP and Bilstein 5100’s. Thinking I will probably rub some

Yeah I'm not 100% sure if I will rub or not, it's hard to say. Cutting the bottom bracket for the fender liner (which is only there for the Christmas tree style push pin) gained me probably 1/2" or so. 1.5 wheel spacers were close to that liner, so now with the 1/2" bracket gone I figure the 2" spacer will have wheel close to liner and maybe slight rub at certain angles or full cranks of the wheel.

Just have to wait a month or so before the BORAs arrive, not sure how long the manufacturing is going to take, then shipping across border to Canada. Might be June before I get them.

My Bora’s took a little bit to get but well worth it and I know some may have a difference of an opinion on this but don’t use loctite. Bora voids the warranty plus after you install them I drove 50-100 miles on them then checked to make sure everything was tight and torqued at 130. No problems

Hey, yeah I actually messaged them about the Loctite. It's a little confusing for some but what they are saying is, don't user Loctite on studs that are attached to the spacer. Which should be obvious because who puts Loctite on wheel studs and nuts. They say this because of the force it takes with Loctite, that it may spin the stud in the spacer and if that happens have fun getting the lug nut off. Now you CAN use Loctite on the stock studs and then bolt the spacer onto the hub, as those are into a steel hub and wouldn't spin out. If they did spin out, you can access from the back of your hub.

With that being said, I probably will not use Loctite as I will just remove my wheels after every rotation and check the torque. If I do use Loctite, it would be blue only and it would only be on the stock studs, not the BORA studs.

How long did you wait for your spacers? how long ago? I ordered April 3rd, so just about 3 weeks now.

Exactly, Took about 8 weeks and it took longer cause of the pandemic at the time when I ordered them
 
I thought I would share what I did with wheel spacers. I originally bought and installed the Bora wheel spacers that were 1" in the front and 1.25" in the rear. I posted a pic in this forum. After living with it for a few weeks I decided to go with .75" front and moved the 1" spacers to the rear. I measured the wheel pockets on my 2020 rebel wheels and the calculations showed that I could go with .75" spacers without any grinding or cutting of my wheel studs and that proved to be true. I liked the look of the first set up but my plan is to go with 285/75 18 tires which will increase my poke by about .25" so I wanted to bring the wheel in that additional .25" so I can get the natural poke from the bigger tires.

I have attached a couple images of what it looks like with the stock rebel tires and the .75" and 1" rear.
Where did you get the new 1" and .75" spacers from?
 
Just installed 1.5” KSP’s. I will say they fit damn good and am very impressed with quality. And so far so good. I Drop the truck off tomorrow to get the RC 5” lift installed with 35x12.5r20’s on the factory wheels (for now). Will post pictures once everything is installed.
