What did you do to your Ram today???

Unless theres some secret squirrel feature the app is an unnecessary gimmick IMO. Only way I could see it as useful was if my kids used my truck.
That depends on where you live. Down here in the deep south it comes in handy to remote start it when out and about. The heat is killer.

Make sure you have the latest update for the RAM app. Also, if you are one of the unlucky ones who got a truck during the chip shortage that has the connected services deleted, you will never have that option.
I believe I have the latest version. 1.98.7
I believe my 2021 has connected services. I had the remote start in my Uconnect app during my trial period.
ram app version 1.98.7

is what mine shows dated aug 25, 2025
I have the same version.

I downloaded the app input vin and it told me I needed to call a 1-800. Which directs you to onstar and Sirius xm. This is a paid service to allow you to use the app correct??
I noticed the same thing when I tried the app. I did call the 800 number and it was for Ram connected services. I'm the 2nd owner and the app subscription was still under the original owners name. In order for me to transfer everything into my name, I had to pay for the subscription. Once she told me that, I didn't even ask how much it is and hung up the phone. I can remote start and lock/unlock with my key fob. However, not having the keys on me and needing something from the truck would be a nice feature but not worth a monthly fee to me.

I think those that bought new are the only ones who can still use some of the features once the trial and/or subscription runs out.

I only had years ago when I didn't work close to my vehicle for remote start in winter time. Now I can look out the window and start with fob.

Imma give it a shot as I am the original owner.

But I don't need another subscription so if that's gonna be the case,......

When my wife has to walk up the hill to get the truck to back the boat trailer in and recover my sorry a$$ in 105°F in New Mexico or other hot spot, the truck had damn well better be cooled down some by the time she gets there, excess diesel idle time be damned... Happy wife, happy life. $5/mo is a CHEAP price to pay.

holly crap, not a job for old people.

thanks
hope mine lasts
Im only 48 and it was a bit of a struggle. The air suspension helped a lot. Jacked it up to its highest point and even my fat *** was able to get under there. lol

FWIW 39k on the clock.

Yea that’s my thought process too. I’ll stick with my key fob 😂

2022 with 39k miles? That seems too early. Do you do a lot of short trips? On/Off a lot?
That's what I thought.

Not short trips per se, but this poor truck has done 80% of it's life in traffic. 22.5 miles door-to-door to work every morning in Chicago traffic. BUT...I have exclusively used the tow/haul mode starting at 1253 miles on the truck. lol

Since tow/haul shuts off the auto stop/start, the starter has had a relatively normal life.

About 4 months ago, it didn't want to start up on the button like it always did. So I did some research here on our very own 5thgen forum. I replaced the OEM battery (which wasn't very strong at that point anyways) and I also cleaned the battery body ground on the fender and she was good, till she wasn't.

Tuesday morning, dead. Not even a click from the starter. I knew was screwed at that point.

Apparently (from what I could gather) it is a thing with 2019-2022 Rams. Not sure if it's an e-torque thing, or a normal 5.7 thing, but it's a thing. So I ordered a reman starter from NAPA in the morning and by 1:00 the driver delivered it to my driveway.
