Did a hack way to fix an exhaust leak due to a broken bolt on the flange before the muffler. I let it go so long that I forgot how quite my truck really is.

I had this issue s couple of years ago. Couldn't get the remainder of the bolt out of the muffler side of the flange so used a C clamp for a few months. Eventually I decided it was a great reason to replace the OEM muffler for something with better sound.

Hey peeps, sorry, i've been offline for a bit, and this actually may be old news at this point, but did you guys know we now have the lock/unlock command feature from the RAM app??? like looks like its free??

I just got a new phone because my old one was so full it would just offload apps left and right to make space... and i redownloaded the ram app and noticed that the lock and unlock buttones are there, in a spot they never were before.

After my trials ran out i just was using it for the typical ree stuff, TPMS, amount of fuel, oil life, recalls, etc. but now these were here...



So I tried them, and it worked! no trial, no sign up, just logged into the app like usual.

I knew nothing about them being added, but PSA if anyone didn't know and hasn't checked that app in a bit.

Just heard about it a couple days ago. Was silently part of the latest update to the app. Tried to sneak it in so the people who were paying for the subscription to have it didn't get upset.

ok so it IS a thing haha. i figured there'd be a catch... like there usually is.

Like Ford just gives remote start and lock/unlock thru their app to the vehicle owner... but the catch is.... you gotta drive a Ford. badump-tssss.

Well a VERY convenient add that i've used on more than one car/truck brand, that i would never pay a subscription fee for, but Free.99 tho? i'll DEF use it.

I don't have it on mine All I can see is the Recall and Digital Glovebox.

I miss the Uconnect app where it showed me vehicle info like mileage and how much gas I have.

been using the phone app to lock/ unlock truck when it's at home.
i leave the key in my bedroom and sometimes I need to grab something from the truck while in the garage, so that feature is quite useful so I don't have to walk all the way back to get the keys.

I have had the lock, unlock since Aug 25 update.

I use the alexa skill with a routine to lock the truck every evening in case I forgot. Not sure if it works without a subscription. I do have the remote start for $60/yr.

My wife's Sorento can't use the alexa skill unless you have their top tier plan. The alexa skill never worked when we had the 1st year included so f that. She pays 140/yr.

Make sure you have the latest update for the RAM app. Also, if you are one of the unlucky ones who got a truck during the chip shortage that has the connected services deleted, you will never have that option.

I downloaded the app input vin and it told me I needed to call a 1-800. Which directs you to onstar and Sirius xm. This is a paid service to allow you to use the app correct??

Unless theres some secret squirrel feature the app is an unnecessary gimmick IMO. Only way I could see it as useful was if my kids used my truck.
