My God, man. I am so sorry. I bet those exhaust pipes shriveled up like they were in a cold swimming pool.

Which tires? I have the Falken Wild peak AT-3’s, it has been wet the last few weeks on island, especially on my drive. The other evening on my way home from work, just leaning into the throttle in 6th gear to pass slower traffic, and I’m a fish outta water. The road was “wet” but not saturated. Calm enough to remain in control, but that was unexpected and kinda freaked the crapped outta me.
Tires got like 7k on them, but my parts came in and will be sporting some new wheel and tires with a Bilstein level soon. Yeah baby!
Your commute is a wet one. But those waterfalls coming down the Pali do look nice.

Sorry, I did not back to on making rims black. I am trying a couple things. I want to try and keep the gun metal gray part in the rims. I want to see how it looks so I am vinyl wrapping the silver parts to see it I like it. If I do I will use the rim paints that are out there. There are several different types. If I do not like the black/grey look I can just peel off the vinyl and I will just Paint the whole rim with the rim paint. There is a set of powder coated rims on ebay. That would give you an idea how they look. I will try and post pics when I get the first rim completed.
Sounds interesting. Cant wait to see it.

So what did you use to paint the rims? I'm very interested in doing this

He used plasti dip spray paint. It can peeled off after a short while but the longer it stays on the more difficult is to get off.

I have the stock Bridgestone and drove through what was a monsoon a few weeks ago and I didn’t feel anything crazy. I did put it on auto 4wd though.
See, I had mine in auto as well, and didn’t even get a traction loss warning, either. light rain, not too heavy, but road was wet.
My Promaster City has thrown the traction loss light a couple of times, expected the same from truck, but not the case evidently. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Much different feeling, being the City is front wheel drive.

I’ve got the same tires, I aired mine down to mid 30 psi and that seemed to help a little in the wet. I’m eyeing the Goodyear eagle sports once these wear out.
Painted peel coat on stock rims. If I decide to keep them I will permanently paint them black. What say the group black or stock? Keep the chrome lug nuts and cap for contrast?

another night edition biased person here, black looks awesome and chrome lugs give a good contrast but if it were mine I’d go for black center caps!

Never had any issues with my stock Wildpeaks in rain.

If he actually used Plastidip and it was applied properly and taken care of, it won't be any harder to peel in three years as it would be in three weeks.
