What did you do to your Ram today???

Yeah they come in next week but I'll be out of town. I'll do a before and after.

Here's the link to the ones i bought, a lot of color options. The pic there doesnt do it justice because the sample uses a chrome outlined badge, not the all black one

I installed the reflective concepts overlay to the grill "RAM" emblem. I wanted to break it up as well

Didnt even think to look for ones for the front. Looks pretty good, will probably get that next

Just filled up the tank for the weekend.

Best "digital" fill-up I've ever had since I got it (44K+ miles):

I have the sense that the 3.21 gearing makes a big difference in fuel economy. I have the 3.92, and intially it seemed exciting to have the better accelerating gearing. However, before buying I also trusted that I really would see 17 city 22 highway. HA! My combined says 16, but when I calculate economy at fillup, it's more like 15, 15.5. So now I wish I had the 3.21.

My question to you is, has your fuel economy been consistent, or has it changed over time? You say 566 mi is the best ever since you had it. My Dodge Dakota, now 20 years old with 198,000 miles, didn't vary much in its history. Pure interstate (long trips) offered the best. So I don't expect fuel economy to get better.

I put 33% Autobahn Ceramic I3 tint on all the windows and sunroof. I think it turned out perfect and here in Texas it is a must. I can tell a huge difference in interior temp and in A/C performance. I didn't do the windshield yet because of all the horror stories I have read about the BCM getting fried. But putting 33% all around made it feel darker but did not make it too dark at night. Very happy with the results. The brochure says the 33% ceramic tint has an SPF of 1,000+

I don't have E torque, but from what I've heard I doubt that would make that big of a difference. Most of the numbers I've heard from people are maybe 1mpg better than non e torque. The eco diesel could make a huge difference since it can have the possibility of getting high 20's mpg on the highway. Not sure what motor Brian has but he does list 3.21 gears which would also help.

I did the windshield and had no issues, I will say that despite how hot its been this week (I'm Dallas area) my trucks AC has been great. I have Wincos IR 70 on the windshield / pano and 30 on all the other windows and once the hot air is out, the truck cools down very nicely. So well that I am not considering getting the AC TSB done

I have a 4x2 3.21 truck and through 18K miles my average is 18.1 mpg. This is mainly city driving, 80/20 city/highway.
I consistently get 420-430 miles per tank every fill up, 26 gallon tank refilling with 23-24 gallons

How would tint make it worse on the bcm? Sorry if that's a dumb question but I have no idea...

BCM is located inside the vehicle, mounted on the firewall just above the driver's pedal cluster. Installing any window film uses a lot of water.

That water (being squeegeed out from the film) can follow the wiring harnesses down and enter the BCM, shorting it out.

A professional installer will know that and will use a microfiber rope along the dash and place some rags above the BCM. And, they'll have a guarantee to pay for any damage caused by their install. Obviously, something to discuss.

(I'm about to tint. My installer owns a 2019 Ram and laughed when I mentioned the BCM. He assured me he's well aware of it.)

Added these bad boys in the dash. Crisp clear and responsive. And this is day one. I can’t wait till they break in. Had to go ahead and order 6x9 woofer for the front and 2ways for the rear. Infinity is they way to go cause it has low ohms and when wired matches the factory system.

Its a tight fit, but the Yukon and Ram are becoming friends. ;)

Apparently, we are only capable of buying red cars. :ROFLMAO:

We have that problem too. Just with dark reds. I have the Delmonico Ram, wife's red Rouge, a red Lincoln and a Red Ghost Flame Harley. Oh yea, the house has a barn red siding on it too.

We are tighter, and also have no color variations! Builders these days apparently think everyone parks outside.

Hey where did you find the emblems with the overlays? I have a Max Steel grille, so the black should fit nicely right? I am just torn, I want to black it out.

Reflective Concepts.com is where I bought my overlays
