What did you do to your Ram today???

JBLGX302’s arriving today from crutchfield. Can’t wait to hear the difference in sound. Did you replace all three dash speakers or just the corners?
I done just the corners and it made a huge difference!

All windows tinted including the sunroof. All windows are dark as law will allow in NC, sunroof got a "clear UV blocker". Borla XS Pro installed.
Dropped her off at the body shop to get the door ding and scratch on Rambox that was there at delivery fixed. Body shop is also going to look at the issue of the two tailgate cables not being taught when tailgate is lowered.

didn't think about tinting the sunroof, notice a difference, how much for all the tinet

How do you like the BorlaXS Pro so far?

Hi, could you tell us brand, model and where you got it from?

Sure...I ordered these from Amazon.
Stop lights: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CK1NQQ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Cargo lights:

There was another post that I can’t find anymore that talked about these replacement LEDs. Several folks have put them in without issues. Much brighter than the stock 921 bulbs

I replaced the stop and cargo lights on mine as well, work great!!

Got the sunroof and all the windows except for the windshield tinted yesterday with 3M Crystalline 40% all around. I'll probably take it back in to get 90% on the windshield. Noticeable difference driving to and from the tint shop in the full sun yesterday. Didn't think to get pictures yesterday, so today's rainy pictures will have to suffice.

I didn't do a tint match since my better half doesn't like dark windows...

Please post a vid of the Borla sound! Did you just do a muffler swap? Any drone?
Can't get a video right now due to the truck being at the body shop but I will tell you that I feel like I got lucky and nailed it on the first try. I would describe the sound as the quiet pitter patter of a solid American sounding V8. I had a 72 Chevelle with stock exhaust as a kid and this sounds about the same. There is not a droning rumble on flat highway but if it leads you up a hill you can begin to hear grumble. I'm pretty much 50yrs old and I don't need for my girlfriend to hear me coming from a couple of blocks away anymore, but I am not too old to have it sound like it should when you idle or accelerate. The interesting thing that has come out of it is that you get a better feel for when the system is dropping cylinders. I thought those systems only kicked in at highway speeds with the cruise on but that isn't true. It uses all 8 or drops them all of the time. City and highway. The change in the tone of the motor is clear with aftermarket exhaust.

I did muffler swap only. $100 for the muffler and $100 to have it put on. At those costs I could afford to try something else if it wasn't what I wanted. If I had to rate it compared to perfect it would be slightly on the quieter side of perfect which is the side I would prefer to error on.

Yes it made a difference. The tech in the tint now is very cool!! I can move my hand from under the light in the windows or sunroof to the windshield and certainly tell there is a difference. The shop offered to do the windshield in the same as the sunroof. He said it was not legal but no one at the inspection stations would be able to tell it was there. I have been burned by this before so I opted not to do it. I should have and may go back and get it done.

It was $390 for all windows and sunroof. Lifetime guarantee on the tint.

Winter Tires on some used 20s I bought on ebay. This will preserve the rubber on the 22s, make the truck handle better in snow, and keep 22 rims fresh.

I ordered a Bakflip F1 today. I originally bought a Truxedo truxport. The Truxedo is horrible and the fitment is not right, it should have been an inch longer.

View attachment 6935Installed a 3.5" lift and 285/65/20 BFG's today. The ride seems tp be as good as stock.

How has the ride been after a few weeks? How about gas mileage changes? I assume it went down due to being less aerodynamic. Finally, which lift kit? How much was it to install (if you paid someone)?

That lift looks about perfect. Debating lifting myself. Thanks.

Washed it up and finally put my plates on. Had them stitting in the closet for two months.

I don't have my truck yet but ordered these!

The ride seems to be unchanged. I drove from Portland to the coast and back and got 16.2 mpg. Not quite as good as my 2015 Silverado with the 5.3, but pretty close.

The kit is a 3.5 Rough Country. I installed it and did the tires and alignment myself. A shop would probably quote 5 hours labor I'd guess.
