I carry that same harbor freight stool in the back of my truck. Being 5'8" with a truck that is lifted on 35's isn't the greatest combination

I'm young enough to jump in the back if needed, although 25 years of ice hockey has taken it's toll, but I'm also old enough not to care what people in the Walmart parking lot think of me when I use itIm also 5 8 I dont carry it with me but just to get up in there to dump oil in its needed lol.

Picked up my truck from dealer yesterday. Had the water pump changed, thermostat and line leading into oil cooler. ( dealership last year did a sh** job doing this work which lead us to the failure)
Got quoted $800 to do the 8 speed transmission fluid change. Anyone have experience doing this in their driveway and have input on how a DIY’er can tackle this?
Probably don't need to worry about having the wheels turn. Simply putting it into reverse, neutral, and drive with brake on will cycle the fluid
I plan on following this. The hardest part will be moving the exhaust system to get the oil pan down and figure out a way to be able to shift gears without a lift. Was thinking maybe taking the tires off while the rear is on jack stands would suffice. I'd leave my front supported by ramps. Could be a dumb way of doing it but best I could think of atm.
Installed some lights.

That's what I've done on other vehicles. This video suggests taking it to 2nd gear and I feel like the official ZF recommendation is the same. Idk that it would matter really but it's one small thing I'm willing to handle.Probably don't need to worry about having the wheels turn.
