What did you do to your Ram today???

Washed and waxed my Pop’s Limited. Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax is the real deal. Adams Polishes Clay Mitt is impressive as well.

Dropped truck off for Ceramic Pro and Glassparency. Pick it up Thursday or Friday. Quoted $1200

Looks good. On a 1 to 5 wrench scale how tough a job is this? And I assume those are OEM parts you can order? Will need to look into it. I was waiting to see if my chrome mirrors grew on me (have not even had the truck a week yet....but so far, they have not!).
Not bad probably a 2, read through this thread, once you have the right tool(suction cup) its pretty easy

Those look sharp! How did you go about removing the old ones?
Didn’t plan on keeping them so I didn’t care if they broke. Went behind each letter with a trim remover and yanked em. Only busted a couple clips but they would still work no problem. If anyone wants them I’ll gladly mail my factory silver ones to someone. That way you can paint them as you wish and not pay $100 for an OEM black set

Finally got to painting my calipers. Also blue on the Hemi 5.7L lettering in the hood badges and the LIMITED lettering on the door moldings.
How did you paint the calipers? Did you have to take them off to do the job?

FINALLY replaced the chrome badged center bezel with a matte black bezel on my 1500 sports hood. Didn't want to deal the clips or the heat shield so I took it to a local Dodge Parts department and they guys there hooked me up. Only cost me $40 for their time! :)

Used G2 caliper paint off Amazon. It’s a DIY product. 2 part paint. I masked off and painted carefully around clips and such without removing the calipers. You do need to be ready to do all four together, 2-3 coats. Once you mix the paint you have several hours to use it. Jack car up on stands, all four wheels off clean and prep all 4 calipers and paint around 2 times. There’s a couple you tube videos on it out there. I also used Mopar Decals on the front, wont fit backs. Time consuming, but happy with the results.

Topper came in so finally did my bedrug and DIY rails. Like the way it all worked out.

The bottom rail hits the wheel well, so had to use some spacers to bring them out about 1/2". I used superstrut washers which works perfect and give a nice solid base. Bugrug was super wrinkled in one spot, but it will settle. Hardest part was getting the holes in the bedrug for the rails in the right spot.

$40 for the strut, ~$20 for bolts and stuff, ~$10 nutserts

I can recommend the G2 caliper paint. I painted my Mustang calipers with it and it’s a good product.

I have used the G2 paint on numerous vehicles. As noted above, take the wheels off so you can do all four, as the two-part paint will set up in a few hours.
Clean the calibers with the cleaner supplied with the paint kit, tape off areas and paint away. By the time you paint all four once, it is dry enough to start all over again. Minimum 2 coats, 3 better.
Time consuming but worth it if you like your calibers painted, some do, some don't. I can also attest to great customer service. I ordered a special color which costs twice as much and got the wrong color. Contacted G2, they asked for picture as I used the paint, since once mixed, no turning back. Sent them a picture, they agreed not ordered color and sent me new paint kit.

Black out almost complete
