What did you do to your Ram today???

I have the same cover. It's awesome. I just wish they kept the old fashioned lock that let you use the truck key to open it. That was the main selling point from their ads, and come to find out it's not supported anymore since the locks kept breaking.

Busy day. Installed a UnderCover Elite LX Tonneau Cover and a console lock box.

I purchased the 1500 Hemi 5.7 decals for the side hood emblems from Reflectiveconcepts and could not get them perfect. I ordered a second set and was going to try the soapy water to see if that would help me. I have to have things perfect as well or they stand out like a sore thumb. Thanks for replying.
JHill says...I know there is a member that put those decals on his truck and maybe he used the soap method. If you scan through earlier posts to this thread you may find it. I think he had a delmonico red truck and had same color inserts. My only experience is the front RAM on Rebel and the TRX on rear quarter panels. Perhaps the 1500 5.7 Hemi emblem is more intricate and less forgiving and soap per directions may be the answer.

Based on pictures I've seen, no (I haven't taken delivery of my truck yet and the Lomax is on the way.) I didn't want to deal with the potential of the open cover rubbing against the back window and on the few occasions I anticipate needing the full bed to be open, the Lomax is reported to be easy to lift off and store (~ 40 pounds.) There are many others though, like the Bak covers, that open up.

That’s what I’ve been thinking too but I use my whole bed a lot of the time so I don’t want to keep taking it on and off all the time. From what I see the Mopar is made by Bak so unless I can get a Bak shipped to my house for less than $804 I think I’ll go with the Mopar that is in stock 4 miles from my house.

You can get the Bak MX4 for less than that from Luke at Truck Alterations.

I am of the opinion it’s impossible to stop the leaking. I have tons of weather seals .my tailgate is so tight you can barely open it. Still leaks every time it rains.

Yeah, what a bummer.

Maybe have wife use garden hose all around gaps, tailgate etc while you are closed up inside with good bright lighting to solve mystery. Mark leaks with blue masking tape. If she is in bad mood , you may have to promise new jewelry for her to let you out.

When people put on their bed covers, some are adding weather seal to the gap on the tailgate. Question: What is everyone using for the weather stripping/seal? It needs to be about an inch thick I think and my Home Depot did not have anything that seemed like it would work all that well. Maybe I do not even need it at all however if you have a link of something you know works well that would be great. Thanks!
I used a tail gate seal kit from truxedo and it did the whole tail gate it was 23$

Added a tailgate bedrug this morning hopefully it'll protect the tailgate when I get some cinder block and landscaping blocks later. The bed mat is from DeeZee I got it a couple weeks ago and it handled the last load of landscaping materials pretty well. Also I scored a 15 dollar colaspable RV step stool for a 15 dollar alternative for getting in and out of the bed. I might eventually add the mopar step but I've got other mods I want to get done first. Later after breakfast I need to drill some holes for the Mopar bed grab handle that came in yesterday.

When the stool is open it's a big step to the bumper but it's much more manageable than with out it.

Take it easy

Anyone considering this light kit for the front grill or something similar? I'm thinking it might be a nice addition.

Quite a few here have installed it. It looks nice from pics. I have no experience with it.

There are several folks that have already performed this installation if you do a search of the forum.

I’m not a believer in airflow restriction. That said there is a clean look on the lighting.

I went with Nilight. Cheap. So far so good. Super bright. Figured for $28 I would take a chance before dropping big money on light bars. They’ve been thru plenty of snow, salt, rain and washes already with zero problems. I put one on the front grill and one under my trailer hitch in the back. I also put two of their 7in lights up front. You will need to purchase their wiring harness as well (about $15)

Installed Lomax tonneau cover. Bought from Luke at Truck Alterations. Look nice but 8 think Backflip MX4 on my 4th Generation was better quality. For the price I am happy with Lomax. IMG_20190413_105004.jpg15551782508945879964901808484694.jpg
