What did you do to your Ram today???

Question for those of you who have upgraded your wheels and tires.

I have 22" OEM on my Laramie. I know that the 22s are vulnerable to curb rash, low profile sidewalls aren't great for off-road conditions, and there are much better options for winter tires with different wheels.

But...a comment from a neighbor in 4x4 aftermarket sales said I can't put 18" wheels on these hubs. I could give him the benefit of the doubt, or I could double check. Also, I know quite a few of you go with bigger tires, until you begin rubbing or you get a lift for more clearance.

I need some advise, so anyone who has solved this, please chime in .

Thanks!
I’ve got Fuel Blitz 18x9 +1 wheels, and they fit.

The brake calipers have potential interference with some 18” wheels. On my Fuels, it’s a close fit, but they do fit. You or the installer need to be careful with the placement of wheel weights; my first set got knocked off right as I started driving.

Had the Toyo Open Country A/T III's installed today...

And our son swapped his '19 Colorado WT for a '22 Colorado Z71. Thing rides near as smooth as the Ram. 🤨

OK, maybe not. But it is a nice riding truck for it's size. 🙂
The weight savings on the 285/45 vs the 285/50 is crazy (44 vs 56). I may have to go that route on my next set. Can you send me a sideview pic of your truck in off-road mode?

They had a spotter at an intersection. I was stopped at a red light. I picked up my phone to look at a recent text. They pulled me over a block away after I left the intersection.
Im kind of glad cell phone is a secondary offense in Nebraska, and you can legally use it as long as vehicle is stopped. Doesn't matter if you are at a stop light.

My phone has a small fisheye effect that I don't know how to avoid, but here you go.

Had the new '22 GT Night edition for a few days. Removed the silver GT decals and replaced them with Matte black, and had the windows tinted to match factory.

Tough to see the new decal in the sunlight.

What's some feedback on the decal change?
Like the look of the dark decal (y)

OEM SS Side Steps fit perfect, studs line up exactly with holes in brackets.

Factory 2" lift allowed me to lay on my back on an old queen bed comforter to put the bracket on the studs and fasten the nuts. No need to jack up the truck. Wife helped hold it in place at the rear, while I did the front then slid to the back. Easy peasy.

Looks good! I really like the wheel-to-wheel steps, makes it so easy to get into the front of the bed when loading or unloading stuff

I did the same had the first one you had and swapped it out for the darker one.

Your rants was about having to unplug your USB cable every time you got out of the truck because the LED light on it stays on. Which it would take weeks for that one LED to kill your battery
Exactly my point there Buddy, it would eventually kill the battery now wouldn't it. I never said the next day dead. Thanks for you opinion

All front USB Ports in the truck turn off after 1h when the truck is shut off.
Is this actually posted in any manuals or is this just your experience from it? I haven't found any actual info about it.
