Hi, I am wondering if anyone is having water leaking into the cabs of their 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5.7 Hemi? We purchased our truck about two weeks ago and we had a really bad rain storm here and the next morning I go to into my truck and the entire floor board is soaking wet front drivers side was the worst but I continued to check the entire truck and it was wet all the way around on the floor around the doors mainly but the entire floor is soaked. Has this happened to anyone else. We purchased our truck in Baton Rouge la.

I’ve got a 2019 Dodge Laramie sport crew cab fully loaded. Most expensive vehicle I’ve ever owned $62,000 plus, it’s now going in for the third time for the roof leak. First time I was told it was the roof drains for the sunroof, second time I was told it’s the brake light. The brake light was only two weeks ago. We had a soaking rain yesterday, and I checked The truck just to make sure, and sure enough the carpet in the rear of the truck is soaked again.

I called FCA Direct and got a case number. I’m dropping it off again tonight, if it doesn’t get fixed this time around for good they can have it back. I’ve owned dodges since 1997 and I never had issues before like this. I’m at a point in my life where I can finally afford a decent vehicle, and this is what I’m dealing with. To say that I’m upset would be a major understatement.

How many miles were on your truck? Unfortunately for me I have 60,000 miles on my 2019 1500. I just picked up my truck from the dealer to get looked at. I’ve got a couple cracks in my plastic trim around the back glass and have a waterfall when it rains. Dealer told me $1050 for the back glass plus labor but they still couldn’t tell 100% what was the problem.

I purchased my 2019 LIMITED (build date 12/18) Feb 2019, was heading south in Nov. 2019, was doing a thorough clean noticed mold under driver side backseat, lifting the water proof mats at front driver side found lots of moisture on the underside, lifted the carpet removed 1.5 litres water. 9mo.s later ,5 visits to the dealer and 20 days without a vehicle. The leak(fixed) by a leak specialist(Dec. 2019),excessive rust repairs(Jan.2020),more rust repairs (June 2020), carpets finally replaced (aug.2020 with help from FCA). I had kept an eye on things since 20191209_121133.jpg 20191209_121415.jpg 20201208_111217.jpg 20201208_111306.jpg DSCN5661.JPG DSCN5671.JPG DSCN5676.JPG the heavy rains have started ,after reading the STAR Case posted by Duane
and further investigation, to my DISMAY:eek::eek: here we go leaking again:mad::mad::mad:

Last time I checked the back window was around USD570 or so? If my replacement window (replaced almost a year ago) develops a crack, I will seal it with black RTV.

My dealer parts department quoted me $1050. I didn’t even wait for the service department to give me a quote on labor. I told them I’d have another dealership work on it. If I’d been quoted around $570, I would have bought it.

The rear window at the time when I experienced this was around 500+ or so just for the part, my repair was covered under warranty. If it fails again, black RTV will be my friend.

Either the shark fin antenna is leaking, or the third brake light is leaking. Or if you're "lucky" like I was ... both are leaking. Took two weeks to get the parts in and a couple hours to r n r them. Still waiting on word about the headliner though. Actually going back tomorrow to check in.

Update: The dealer has replaced my entire rear window, removed the interior , sanitized and replaced. I do have a case number and I’ve submitted the requested info for compensation. I’ve added up the total days this truck has been at the dealer for all 3 visits and it’s well over a month. It will be interesting to see what they offer.
We’re supposed to get some heavy rains this week, we’ll see how it does.

I see that you are from Canada. I live in Ontario and am still suffering from a soaked floor after having the truck in 8 times, to 3 different dealers. They can't replicate the leak and my driver floor is saturated right now. Have you found out where your truck is leaking from? I only have 9 months of warranty left now and have to fight tooth and nail with Chrysler.

We are also experiencing a leak inside the cab of our 2019 longhorn 2500 diesel, 3k miles. Opened the door today After three days of heavy rain to a soaked headliner and drenched seats. Water was dripping out of the headliner speaker and the third brake light is flickering.
Yeah, I took mine to the shop twice. First time replaced the gasket around the sunroof. Second time they replace the sunroof. I finally ran water into the drain area on the side and realized the drain was plugged, so the water then overflows into the interior of the truck and leaks out the little speaker/microphone hole on 2019 RAMs. I was able to use some heavy weedeater line after feeding it through the drain slots and fished around for the drain hole and was able to shove whatever was blocking it down the drain. Definitely a design flaw.

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday at the car wash. How much line do you have to push through?

2019 RAM 1500 Laramie Quad Cab with the same issue. I poured water over the roof and water leaked through the rear window area above the right passenger.

We've been trying to figure out where the moisture is coming from for a while because of the horrible resulting odor, and the water went down the back all the way to the mat and never touched the seat.

Car is under 36000 miles. Just got in touch with RAM. If there is no follow up, assume that this means RAM refused to fix the issue.

There are several recommended fixes for this on the forum. Replacing the gasket around the third brake light with a rubber one off Amazon is a simple and cheap solution. Do a search of the forum and you shall find what many have done to resolve the issue.

Yep, 3rd brake light gasket already replaced. Shark fin gasket already replaced. Water intrusion tested by pouring and spraying water over the roof and the leak was found, leaking through the rear window seal above the right passenger seat.

Should have mentioned the troubleshooting steps taken earlier, mistakenly assumed it was obvious/implied.

Edit: no obvious cracks in the rear window frame either, which is why I assumed the leak wasn't coming from that area initially.
