Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

The only way it wouldn't is if the shock were longer. Can you measure from the bottom hole of the strut, to the bottom of the ring perch? I will measure mine and we can compare.
Center of hole to bottom of ring is 10 1/2".

I just had a level kit installed on my 2019 longhorn 2500 and put new tires and wheels and was shocked how much taller it was.

That’s a before and now the after.

I’m also thinking about installing air suspension due to the fact that I have a 5th that I pull behind so when not hauling i would like to have like 4 or 6 inch lift but lower when I have to tow. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and recommend an air suspension that they are happy with and works well
Thanks and I’m new to the group so just wanted to say I enjoy this site.

Kelderman makes aftermarket stuff for the 2500's. Super expensive, but probably better (and cheaper) than trying to add an OEM air suspension, which i'm not even sure they make for the 2500's

I'm at about 10" on the edge of the ring. its about 10.500" on the the other edge of the ring. I have the older version. I plan on having two rings and ORP coil springs installed.

The ring or the perch (the perch is the cup looking thing and it is tapered side to side)? I’m at 10” all the way around the black ring to the center of the bolt. 10.5” from the ring to the bottom of the strut. Here’s a photo from where I’m measuring.

Yeah from the ring. If I measure the way you measured I get the same measurement you did 10" to the center bolt hole..

Your's would probably be 10.5" also if it was off the truck. I'm sure the weight of the truck is compressing that extra half inch. Do you have one ring or two on yours?

Two rings on mine. But the measurement should remain unchanged, it wouldnt really compress any further.

I’ll have my shocks off maybe this weekend. I can measure them off the truck if you’re interested in waiting to see what my measurement was. We can trade phone numbers to compare photos

True, I don't know what I was thinking because the ring doesn't move. Only thing that would affect the measurement would be a shorter or longer shock body. I'm definitely interested in comparing measurements. Could be difficult sourcing more spacers at the moment due to the backorder.

Crawl under your truck and look beneath the spring perch. You’ll see either one or two black rings. If there’s one, you have the earlier kit. If there’s two, you have the updated kit. I’m not convinced they’ve made any other changes to the kit in regards to shock length.

Here’s an example of what the updated kit should look like under the truck. You can see the lower ring, and the upper ring poking out. I will post another pic of the non updated kit.
Good deal, I’ll take a look in the morning. Thanks for the post and the pic.

Alright, I had to go outside and check. See below and let me know what you think. F48843B6-61BC-4135-ABA0-01F93617AEC6.jpegB35EB74F-F73C-47D6-9FE9-0EEA7D1E916F.jpeg

Looks like two rings. If you only had one you would barely be able to see it cause of the spring perch.

After looking through the pics, my kit appears updated. Any way to get a little mor front end lift without throwing off the angles? Don’t mind the rake that much but wouldn’t mind it a little more level either. Happy with the mopar lift, really smooth ride.

IMG_20200310_030614.jpgIMG_20200310_030626.jpg After further measuring, this must be the updated version like jwiley386 has. I have 10 5/8" from bottom of ring to center of hole and 11.25" to bottom of strut.

Take a pic with the wrapper off, yours looks like it has a black portion on the bottom of the shock above the fork, where ours (including j wileys) is silver. His also has two rings according to his pic.

Also, look at the part number list in your user manual, check what part number your strut is.

Depends, you could do a motofab 1/2 lift block, or you could do the 1” off road spring. The 1/2 block probably will not change ride at all, the 1” ORP spring may stiffen things up a touch.

Also, please post your control arm part number too. (Maybe a photo of your whole list of part numbers in e manual). I’m interested in seeing if they updated that as well since a longer shock would technically change geometry over a preload spacer.
