Uneven Tire Wear

Sorry I keep calling my Falken wildpeak AT3W's winterforce my mistake. comimg up on 38000 miles on them and still have on the tread depth 8.5/32 nds from the 13/32 nds new. Will buy again when the time comes.
From what I've seen, I would consider purchasing them in load range E.
And it indeed seems that tire pressure is the key to keeping the front tires from feathering. Probably has something to with the soft XL tire carcass they chose for the truck for ride quality.

I have the P rated ones, dont tow and prefer the softer ride and the load range 123s {E} are rated s for speed the P are rated 116 and T for speed. But your right the air pressure is the key.

So the OEM version (AT3WA) that came on the ORP-equipped Rams? Or the aftermarket AT3W?

Exactly, the majority of the people don't tow and are interested more in ride quality than stability while towing a trailer. It's all in the target audience and of course saving $$$ for the manufacturer.

I put them on aftermarket, at 5000 miles didnt like the fact my girl, 4x4, came from the factory with road tires. I live in NH the snow belt. Sold the factory tires for $500 so my out of pocket cost was $300. Wildpeak goes for around $200 a tire on amazon with free shipping. Had my dealer put them on, 18.00, a tire.

My dealer pushed the camber to the upper limit to try and help - I guess that's better than nothing

These the factory off road tires?

NO purchased on line aftermarket, see my response 3 posts up

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I have a 2019 limited with the 22s and air suspension. Currently 15k miles and have the same issue as everyone here, just replaced my goodyear eagle touring to Continental Crosscontact LX25 (Longest wear rating available). I had the alignment checked and it was in spec. Couple things that haven't been discussed going through all 4 pages of this thread;

I feel an ever so slightly vibration or hopping at high speeds (70+, even more at 80+) and it is also slightly amplified when turning at said high speeds. Does anyone else feel that?

I was thinking about going to an alignment specialist to get a custom alignment to get proper alignment but maybe it's not the alignment.

In my case, I don't think it's the geometry cause I'm feeling that hopping that can easily cause that cupping/feathering and increased wear on the outside like would happen on an older car with worn suspension.

Heading to the dealership on Monday. I'm going to focus on the vibration I feel while driving on the highway.

I once saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 that had air suspension have a rear tire/wheel driving down the road (low speed) bouncing up and down like crazy. Was obviously a major defect on that air suspension side. I don't know if I'm on to something but talking about tires and everything else hasn't uncovered a solution. Maybe it's an issue with the softness of the air suspension.

When getting an alignment done, have they put it in alignment mode in the menu settings?

What ride height do they set it on when doing the alignment?

There's no doubt smarter guys on here than myself when it comes to cars/Rams..... Anyone have anything they can think of with this issue? Let's try to think outside the box.

Wow, this sounds like the same issue I have. I have 20” wheels. I mainly feel my vibrations at higher speeds, but also at slow speeds on a smooth surface. Been to the dealer several times. Truck has been balanced 7 times in under 8000 miles. I’ve owned 20 vehicles in last 27 years and I’ve only had to balance tires a few times between all these vehicles new and used! Wheels have been off this truck about 20 times. It’s been aligned, new rack, new front axles. Dealer had truck for 3 days said they replace many different parts with no changes! I finally got ram to buy mine back, my 2021 I built is sitting at the dealer waiting for me. Here’s my tires at 3500 miles, 2 dealers told me this is normal wear! I also feel it worse while going around corners at high speeds. Merry Christmas and good luck with your truck!

I think others have had luck with road force balancing. But yes, the soft-ish suspension and tires on these trucks do not help with regards to tire wear and vibration.
I luckily do not have vibration issues but did increase my tires pressures to near the maximum on the sidewall(slightly lower in the rear when not towing) and it helped with the bad wear.

Mine has been road forced balanced a few times, seem great for a few hundred miles the right back to vibrations again🤷🏻‍♂️😩

Same deal 2019 limited, air ride, just ordered toyo at3 outer edge of the Bridgestone are damn near bald, I am hoping this is not a consistent thing and it's just the soft *** tires,, I love this truck but my gmc never had this issue

Same issue here, ram just bought back my 19 ram and I ordered a 2021, got it two days ago. I thought about swapping these bridgestone tires out for something just a little more aggressive. I had these tires on a Silverado with no issues, can’t say the same for the 19 ram. How many miles are on your truck now? This is what mine looked like at 3500 miles, I was told this is normal wear😩

I have a 2019 Ram Longhorn and haven't had any issues. I have a little over 20k miles on it and haven't even rotated the tires yet as they show even wear when I check them out.

What tires do you have?

They are the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza.
Same tires I had on the 19 and now the 21. My 19 had vibration and major front end issues, finally got ram to buy it back, hopefully no tires issues with the 21🤞

2019 RAM 1500 Laramie
33,500 Miles

Pickup is currently at the dealership after a star case has been opened.

1000 miles ago (1 week ago) I took my RAM to the dealer because the outside shoulder on my front right tire was excessively worn. A technician looked at it and confirmed that their was nothing mechanically wrong and the alignment was within factory specifications, tire pressure was at 35 psi. Two new tires were put on the rear, the front ones junked, and the ones in the rear (which had good tread) were moved to the front. During next 1000 miles (1 week) I monitored the tire pressure of all four tires and they all stayed consistently 36 psi. Truck drove straight as an arrow like it always has. I then started to notice that the outside shoulder of the front right tire was already starting to wear. It is currently at the dealership until further notice because everything appears fine and they are unsure what is causing the problem. The dealership is waiting for assistance from Chrysler.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
Just curious has anyone gotten any assistance from Chrysler about this issue? I have 23k miles and have the same issue with the front right tire being excessively worn. My rear tires still look great, yet the dealership is still recommending to change all 4 tires. Not sure I agree but am interested to know what others have done. Thanks in advanced.

Good luck, mine were worn funny at 5000 miles, ram told me it was normal and not their problem to contact tire manufacturer. They left it at that, I ask who and where to call, again said sorry not our problem. I disagree 100%. I would say when you as a company choose to put these tires on your $60,000 trucks that you’d better be standing behind them. Obvious they know these are crap tires, shame on ram for putting these junk tires on these expensive trucks, then not stand behind them! My truck , 19 ram was bought back under lemon law with multiple issues from day one. Be lucky it’s just a tire. However I’d guess like me, as long as you have rotated and balance like you should, that there is something wrong with your truck, causing your tire issue! Good luck, no one cares!
