I had an interesting issue today with the 12” system. My iPhone was connected to CarPlay and I was getting a phone call as I parked and turned off my car. I answered as I opened my door. Came back to the truck later and none of the audio worked at all. Radio stations or Siri, no audio. And my dash was stuck on the image of receiving a call from earlier. Rebooted my phone and restarted my truck, same issue.
I pushed the help button and called Ram support which worked. They advised me to do the soft reset by holding the volume button for 10 seconds after we hung up. I asked what to do of that didn’t work and they advised to go to the dealership. Here’s the interesting part. I asked if unplugging the battery for 15 minutes would be a good troubleshooting step? They said if I did that, warranty wouldn’t cover any electrical repair.
