Turn Signal not turning off

I had mine replaced yesterday after being on backorder for several weeks. The replacement switch is part # 68545657AC and it works properly.

Cbty25 or something, I can't remeber his exact user name, is a mechanic, and said they had a run of defective parts for a few months from the supplier. Very common complaint right now. Not something they will recall, because it's not a true safety item, but they will fix under warranty.
A blinker is without a doubt a safety issue. It is legally required to be manufactured with the vehicle and used while driving. The incorrect use or lack of using a blinker can and does cause accidents, this includes a malfunctioning blinker.

Post #39 should really help you out on the subject.

The blinkers work, they just don't shut off. That's nothing they will recall for, but it is warrantied.

I appreciate you posting the recall & I'm sure it will help out plenty of people.

Unfortunately I recently purchased a 2020, and looks like it's not eligible.

If you leave the stalk in the high beam position it works all the time.

Mine doesn't. Even in the high beam position my left turn signal fails to cancel about 50% of the time. It clicks like it's trying to cancel but it doesn't.

Except that was a large part of the reason for the safety recall previously linked. Part of the reasoning listed for the safety recall was "A turn signal which remains active after a completed turn may cause surrounding drivers to misunderstand the intent to change vehicle direction."

I had mine replaced and now its making this plastic scraping sound when I use the turn signal. They are telling me that they replaced it with another one and it still makes the sound. Their excuse is that ram changed the part and now it makes that noise. Is yours doing this or is it still quiet and smooth

Mine is smooth and actually cancels on left turns. Although I like the auto high beam feature so I tend to push the stalk forward into that mode.

Is there a recall? Last I saw, it was only a TSB.

Add 2024’s to the list. My 24 with about 6k miles has started not canceling left hand turn signals now within the last couple of weeks.

Metro Detroit Local dealer, took mine in for some maintenance and told them left turn signal doesn’t cancel, they had part next day and replaced it. Got about 75 or so miles on it now since picking it up Wednesday night, zero issues.
Part number ending in AB is the replacement, upgraded part, I believe.

On mine, I bought a dealer demo with 2K on it. It had the issue…for a while, it was getting better, then, within the past 2-3K miles, worse. Due to my own time constraints, I finally got it in for service and it was pretty painless.

There is no "recall" but my 2023 Big Horn had the same problem. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the part. No problems since they replaced it.

Follow up to my post a few days ago.
While I can’t tell you about the longevity…. I can tell you mine is 100% fixed. I’ve put a few hundred miles on mine since picking it up mid last week, same roads, same turns, same speeds around the house and driving around.
Not one signal issue (see what I did there…lol).

Part number for my 23 Limited Multifunction switch is 68545657AB.

Have the same problem on my 22 BH. My problem with the dealer will be that I swapped the MFS (with a new part) in my truck to install heated steering wheel. Expect I'll have a problem since the dealer will want to install the PN my VIN calls for--without heated wheel. Maybe I can talk them into replacing with the PN I need. Probably "well, you replaced it, so it's not covered by warranty".

Do you guys who are having the problem have heated steering wheel?
