Truck Off - Press Brake and Push Button To Start

Update, dealer found the shift control module was staying awake on the bus causing the dash lights to stay. Two weeks so far so good. Took they about 14 hours of troubleshooting with FCA tech online with them
I am having the dead battery and push to start lighting up also. Comes on for a few minutes and goes off. The cycle keeps repeating.

Mine is a 2019 1500 lone star . Same problem the push to start light keeps cycling off and on. I have also noticed the push ignition doesn't always go all the way to off sometimes when you push it

I am a first time ram owner and I am not impressed. I miss my Ford and after seeing all these complaints for the same problem I am having, I wonder why there has not been a recall.

There won’t be a recall since there’s no threat of injury or death with the issue

For me, it was the proximity sensor. With the truck parked in the garage the FOB was too close to truck. Turned off proximity approach in setting and no more dead battery.
Did this fix the problem?

Hi just having the same issues with 23 Ram classic we disconnected the negative for 24hrs and some how our Sirius radio and unconnect is completely gone, but the problem with the push brake + has disappeared, wondering do you have Sirius radio or unconnect ? Maybe this Sirius Guardian is causing the problem as it has a remote start feature, just a thought try deleting Sirius Guardian see if that solves the issue. We are waiting now to see if this issue comes back before reprogramming Sirius back on
Yes, I do have Sirius. Not sure how to delete Sirius Guardian.

Did this work?

having same issue with push brake to start message staying on. 2025 3500 SRW Laramie diesel no power steps, purchased late April following knee replacement and only have 887 miles. Everything was fine until last Tuesday (7-8-2025) when parked in driveway. Came out Wednesday (7-9-2025) morning to find weak battery and had to jump it to move to garage. We were out of town until yesterday (7-13-2025) when I came to a completely dead battery (had to use key to unlock door). Popped hook and connected my '09 2500 diesel with jumper cables and let it sit for 30-45 minutes before it would start. I let it idle for about 30 minutes to hopefully recharge. I pulled it around to the driveway where it was easier to access for this morning in case I had to jump it again. When I killed it, that's when I noticed the push brake to start stayed on. I went inside for a bit, left the fob inside and came back out to find the push brake to start light still on. I went ahead and connected my battery charger so I could start (hopefully) this morning to take to the dealership.

some observations:
while it was running, it kept asking which kind of trailer (conventional or gooseneck) was connected (no trailer was connected) and only way to get to any other menu was to click okay.
radio turned on but no volume from either knob on dash or steering wheel controls.
showed 13.5v in cluster.
push brake to start light still only after sitting on charger all night and the odometer is flashing

I read thru this entire thread this morning and no one seems to come back after their trip to the dealership with any hard findings on a fix???

I had this issue with my 2020 Big Horn (25K miles) this week. I just replaced the original battery last week and realized my gauge cluster was cycling on and off every few minutes and also the 12” radio screen at times. I went through everything… looked at the RF hub after discovering I had the window leak issue due to a cracked sliding backlite frame. Unplugged it and still had the issue. Started pulling fuses for the gauge cluster and shifter module and noticed the USB port LEDs were cycling on and off. I was starting to think the Body Control Module was bad when I decided to take another at the wiring in the engine compartment (rodent had chewed through an injector wire a couple months ago). Found more rodent damage to main harness under the master cylinder and also damage to the wiring for the factory bed light kit I had installed. Damn rodents! 🤬🤬🤬

The upside is that I discovered the rear window leak that didn’t know about before it caused any damage.
Has anyone tried one of these?
