My case update…
(Please forgive me if my English is far from perfect as it is not my native language).
My 2020 RAM 1500 Limited was towed to the Classic RAM dealer in NC where the Service Director is being very attentious so far.
I have been told that the problem that caused the truck shutting off and not starting was due to a faulty computer. According to them it should be replaced under warranty.
Also, according to the dealer, they try to force balance the wheels and tires and they found that the vibration problem is due to the fact that all 4 tires are defective.
They contact Goodyear and they ask for a warranty replacement for the 4 defective tires.
Again, according to the dealer service manager Goodyear has agreed to replace the tires, but they want to charge me about 300.00 dollars because I used the truck for about 5 months.
I explained to the dealer that I am not inclined to pay for that because when I first bough the truck (brand new) at the dealership I noticed the vibration problem and I took the truck back for service.
By then the original dealer try to balance the wheels and tires, but they said that the problem could not be completely fixed due to the tires. So it is clear that the tires were defective since new.
Now the Classic RAM dealer and Chrysler are trying to work with Goodyear to solve the problem but, I was told that Goodyear attested that I should not have driven the vehicle after noticed the vibration.
I bought the truck to work and I took it to the original dealer where I bought it to fix the vibration problem.
What do they expect me to do? Wait for five months until they decide to take responsibility and fix the problem?
I understand that problems happen but, in my point of view this is not right.
Well I think I should not be that disappointed once that it is clear that Goodyear is not standing for values as honesty, accountability and common sense that are foundational to this Country.
