The apparently all too common water leak

Pretty sure I have mentioned this here before.
My friends and family love to throw their empties on to the bed, on the way home from the airport.
So the slider is a must have.

The headliner is dry as a bone so I'd imagine its not the shark fin or the high brake light. The only spot I can tell that gets wet at the back edge of the floor carpet in the center under in the seat. I have an appointment with the dealer 1st thing Monday morning
After checking and resealing shark fin (which was fine), and 3rd brake light, and multiple trips to the dealer, and replacing back slider window (which was leaking too) , we found the main problem was the body seam of the truck cab above the rear window. Of course because during all of this I had the rear window replaced initially by somebody else, the dealership did not want to take off that window to look further, they only wanted to blame it on the window. They were more concerned about who was going to pay if they didn't find a body seem leak. Now I have to figure out how to get them to actually fix the truck leak. The body seem leak is very sizable. The shop that installed my window was nice enough to pull the window back off and they found the body seem leak for me. He guaranteed his work and he knew that that window was not leaking and was nice enough to not even charge me when he put the window back on a second time after taking pictures for me of the initial problem. He did all of this only because the dealership was trying to place blame on him. Now to fight the fight of getting Mopar to fix the truck. My carpets were getting absolutely soaked and right now there's just a temporary fix of sealant plugging that huge gap.

It took 2 years to find this leak and a lot of run around from the dealership.

I took mine to the local dealership in Chambersburg, PA. I printed both warranty bulletins for the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) when scheduling my service. The dealer called me back and said their SOP requires them to remove the front windshield, headliner, back seats, etc., and they will have to order new gaskets for my windshield for the re-installation process. I asked why they needed to do all that, just to remove 4 screws and replace the CHMSL that's now still covered under warranty and obviously at least one problem. Then he told me it could be the shark fin antenna, or the sun roof, or the rear sliding window. I explained to him that my driveway is sloped. Parked downhill, I get buckets of water. Parked uphill, I get almost nothing. So his logic doesn't make sense. At that point, I was fairly certain he wanted to charge me labor and parts to remove/replace other components "just in case," and to remove/reassemble the front windshield (which still makes NO SENSE). I know the headliner comes off just fine without removing the BLEEPING windshield. Since then I've ordered, received, and replaced the CHMSL myself. Replacement took all of 5 minutes today. If that's not the fix, I'll pop the headliner myself and seal the shark fin myself, next. At this point, I'll never take my truck back to the local dealer for service again, relying instead on my trusted local mechanic. I gave this dealership a chance to earn both my trust and my business, but instead they fed me a line of BS.

I know this was and is a common problem on the 2019 Ram 1500 trucks. But I was under the impression all these little "new model" issues had been solved by the first batch of 2021 trucks. Please let us know what they find out. :confused:
My 22 leaks both sides directly under the roof welds down the rear glass

So I just got New to me the 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn Quad Cab and noticed my floor mats were damp when I was vacuuming. Since I had just gotten the truck a day ago I figured the dealer washed the rugs and maybe that was the thing. Well I was cleaning the truck a week later and sure enough more water. I checked under the truck to make sure no drain plugs were missing. Seeing that all was in tack I lifted the rug. It was soaked to the point it was dripping water on both front driver and passenger side. Could this be part of the seam issue also? I checked the drain for the AC and that seems to be working ok. Any help would be great.

I bet money you have FWS leak. The rear slider leaks and frame issues are primarily in Crew Cabs do to excess cab flexation. This has generally not been reported in quad cabs as they don't flex nearly as much. The added length of the Crew Cab has instability in the structure causing the excess flexation. This cannot be buttressed or fortified in any way. I think they fixed this issue for 23' and up Crew Cabs with added internal cab braces. Additionally your front would not be wet from a rear slider or 3rd brake light leak. Unless you had sustained heavy rain that soaked from back to front or you park with front facing down on a >40 degree angle
