Here's a real world picture with natural lighting of an '06 in Patriot Blue...
Oh come on, now your all messing' with meDSOOBY said:
I was under the impression this is patriot blue. This certainly has mettalic in it.
I think that dealer photo is deceptive because of lighting, and maybe some sort of photo shop filter.
I haven't read through the entire thread yet, so please forgive if I'm repeating something already said, but . . . my current ride is a six banger (roughy 4 litres) that is over 15 years old and gets about 19 on the highway with a peak horsepower of 190 and torque at 210 if I recall (tow max is just over 4,000 lbs if I remember correctly). The Hemi is just shy of 400 horsepower, it gets better mileage, and the thing can tow over triple my current clunker (the name of which shall not be mentioned).Things have come a very long way in fifteen years. When discussing MPG, it must be taken in the context of horsepower and torque. If MPG is important, you don't get a Hemi. Hemis are for power, not efficiency, though, I don't consider them at all inefficient.LOU.2 said:The Hemi as seen on another thread here showing 2 different window stickers SAYS - 15/21 . . . THAT is NOT GOOD here in 2018 ! ! ! Just saying ! And these guys Lost 225 lbs. ? And with the cutting off of 4 cylinders cruising speeds ? Heck the window sticker on my 2003 with the Old Hemi was 13/18 or 13/17 ? Sure have NOT come a long way in 15 years ! Is that a 10% improvement ? Sure hope the V6 is BETTER !? My 2016 Jeep G.C. V6 says 18/25 . . . reality has it @ 8000miles - 17.4/26+ so far ! Not Bad. I'm hoping the Big Horn 4x4 Quad will indicate 17/24 ! Wishful thinking ? ? ?
So, Bob is a fellow rider?Did not know that . . . (I had assumed it meant red car riding)I also have a (dormant) Honda - my first working motorcycle - 1986 VFR 750F (still have it - needs carb rebuilds and some other TLC). I didn't know this when I bought it, but the VFRs are not sport bikes, but rather a cross between a sport bike and a sport touring bike. My old man had stacks of motorcycle magazines and I was always fascinated by the pictures of guys dragging their knee on the ground in the corners. I'd always wanted a bike, but living in Michigan (and being dirt poor) it just wasn't practical. I eventually bit the bullet and in 2007, finally bought the VFR. I was big time hooked instantly (just picture me actually owning a TRX - it was similar). I could not get enough of the thing. My biggest problem was finding twisties to practice my lean angle. Then . . . I don't think it was six months later, after my tax return for the year showed up, I took the jump to a 2000 (unrestricted) Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa - 70+ mph in first gear 100+ in second gear, and four gears later, it teases 200 mph in stock configuration. The following season (my second season riding), a friend and I took our bikes to Grattan Raceway. That was an absolute blast = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmlvplyFd60redriderbob said:Nope, its because when I was little I rode Honda motorcycles and was an avid motorcycle rider. Honda riders are called red riders. I have had that screen name since 1996. Funny thing is, I have owned a handful of Kawasakis since then.
