Screen Themes not working

I have the 8.4 nav and have the exact same issue with the instrument cluster defaulting back. Also every once in a while my Sirius presets and tool bar setup at the bottom will revert back to default. So aggrevating. My dealer looked at it and sent the info to Chrysler. Just waiting for approval to replace the unit.

Is anyone having trouble with the themes for their touchscreen/gauge cluster? As you know the theme can be changed with different colors and fonts etc, which changes on the gauge cluster as well. When I change the theme, the touch screen stay on the one I wanted, but the gauge cluster reverts back to the factory setting. It will stay on the theme on wanted for a day then changes back to the original. Not sure if this is a glitch in the system or what.

Just picked up my 2019 Ram 1500 Lonestar 8.4" screen with Nav a couple of days go, I noticed the exact same issue, if the truck is powered down for any length of time say > 3.0 hrs it goes back to the default setting on the instrument cluster but NOT the 8.4" display. No matter how many times I change it it will always default back to factory. Another issue I notice , when the display is powered up if you select the UConnect Apps icon which launches all the Apps, the Send-n-Go, Users Guide, SOS, etc show the U Connect Icon not their own icon, that takes about 2 minutes to populate

Just picked up my 2019 Ram 1500 Lonestar 8.4" screen with Nav a couple of days go, I noticed the exact same issue, if the truck is powered down for any length of time say > 3.0 hrs it goes back to the default setting on the instrument cluster but NOT the 8.4" display. No matter how many times I change it it will always default back to factory. Another issue I notice , when the display is powered up if you select the UConnect Apps icon which launches all the Apps, the Send-n-Go, Users Guide, SOS, etc show the U Connect Icon not their own icon, that takes about 2 minutes to populate

Mine will stay on the theme for both clusters for a day or two, if I dont use the remote starter. Every time I use the remote start it will always revert back to the stock them on the cluster, not on the touch screen. It sure sounds like a software issue.

I remote started this morning to get into cooled off truck and it happened to me. This seems to be a blanket issue, just some owners not noticing, like me. At least it should only be software... I hope.

Mine does the exact same thing when i use the remote starter as well. At this point I’m not sure what the dealer can do to be honest. I’ve not had much luck with my 19.

If you have the Laramie you have the memory seats function right? It seems that if you pick what you want and save it to driver 1 memory that this issue goes away from what I've read on here. I thought it was looking like only a big horn with nav problem. Be interesting if you have that option to save everything and then try to duplicate the problem?

Yes I have the memory seat function, I will give that a try and keep everybody posted.

Bighorn, Level 2, W/O Nav. No Nav = No Themes... seems to be a recurring Theme... No pun intended.

BTW, I have an ' 18 Scat Pack Challenger. I bought a Tazer to unlock SRT functions like Track Mode, Line Lock, Lightshow, etc. These are all great if you are in your twenties... but the one thing that excited me as an adult was the the themes and the Scat Pack Bee splash on the instrument cluster upon start up... that didn't last long. Lol.

The last couple of days I have re-programmed my seat memory a couple of times, the problem still exists whether I use the auto start button or get in the truck and manually start it, it reverts back to factory settings.

Interesting, thanks for checking, it seemed like sort of a gray area until someone confirmed it. I'm sure its low on the priority list but it should be a simple software update at some point.

I can get my 12 in screen to show red ( from the blue color ) but no change to the gauges.

I just got my Laramie black 2 weeks ago, and I have the same problem. I can set I to the blue, Limited color, but do not get the blue rings around the cluster gauges.

Long story short-

Spoke with a buddy who was close with the development of the 2019 1500, he said that the 12.1 and 8.4 Nav are manufactured by Panasonic while the Non-Nav 8.4 unit is manufactured by Harman. So that could be the reason as to why the Non-Nav radios have only one setting.

If you look at the resolution between the Non-Nav 8.4 vs the Nav 8.4 you can tell they are actually different style radios with similar layouts.

I have had that happen a couple times with the user guide and sos showing the u connect icons.
