Recon LED 3rd Brake Light 2019+

Is it confirmed that it’s coming from the screw holes??.. if so then caps would be a easy fix.

lmk how u like those side mirrors lenses, i've been eyin em!
Installing the side lights is not for the faint of heart but it was worth it. Just need to take your time for the 3rd light I installed it with no issues. So far no condensation inside.

I purchased these and found out they only worked with Limited models when I checked the website again before installing. They would’ve looked so good on my Laramie! I emailed Recon and they said they were currently developing a version that works with other trims.

That's good info because I was about to order some for my Laramie haha.

i don't believe roland's is a limited from his avatar pic, nor do i see why it would make a difference on these unless it's a led harness thing but you can get LED pkg's on other model's... any feedback on this?

That' true I found it the hard way. Returning it also. It works only when acc or ignition on. But lights will not work once engine is running. I called them this morning and they confirmed it will not work with other model. Mine is a big horn.

Hmmm good to know... I saw someone posted a install video on a facebook group and they only worked it seemed like every other flash.

Yeah I purchased the smoked version of the turn signals and it would’ve looked so clean on my Laramie. It hurts to send it back and I hope they come out with a version that works for every trim soon! I also bought their third brake light and so far no issues! Loving the smoked look of it and the brake light looks nice! The reverse lights are as bright as my old diode dynamics I put in as well! Overall, very satisfied!

Every time I see one of these posted, it makes me want it more.

Going to installing my replacement today.. is there anything different I should try/do to avoid this moisture issue?

I siliconed the hell out of the screw holes. That did the trick.

Some pics of my old one..

It was holding a lot of water.. and it’s definitely from the screw holes. It all drained out from the 2 outer screw holes.
Installed the new one.. let’s see what happens.
