Rebel GT Exhaust question

I did 2 videos awhile back on my 2023 Laramie from the factory it had non GT Muffler with GT Resonators.
Later I put on the complete GT Exhaust.
Thanks! That sounds really good and more of what I’m after. How as it in the cabin? Did you notice it being any louder than the average DT 1500 that I’d assume has non GT resonators and muffler?
Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

The cabin sounds fine it's not obnoxious at all. Yes it sounds throatier than the standard DT Hemi and worth it.
The muffler and drivers side resonator are connected as 1 long piece.
The passenger side resonator is on a separate pipe that slips into the Y after the muffler.

My 2023 Laramie Sport came with G/T resonators so I needed the muffler and drivers side resonator assembly part # 68517364AA.
The G/T Left Resonator has this number stamped on it C-9408-L the right C-9408-R the G/T muffler is stamped C-9396.

It's the Mopar Cat Back which is made by Borla(S-Type). You can order it from you local dealer or online.
A Borla S-Type Catback is $1200. The Mopar kit is close to $2K. Go with the Borla.
I do not think they are these same, and I think the Borla sounds SIGNIFICANTLY better, as I have one and love it more than anything I've ever heard for these trucks.

This is confirmed by Mopar tech dept and Borla..the Mopar 77072520AA Catback is made by Borla and is designed to be between the Type-S and Atak versions of Borla mufflers soundwise.

The Mopar catback is a bit deeper and louder overall than the G/T exhaust..some of this is due to the 2.5" Mopar vs 2.25" G/T tailpipes.

The G/T exhaust is going to sound less aggressive since it uses a 1 in 1 out muffler with a Y behind the muffler to split the pipes to be dual.

Back on 2019 i had Rebel and i got the Borla S-type cat-back exhaust on it, Now I'm seriously considering buying a 26 Rebel but waiting for the HEMI return, Any idea what's the pipe diameter on the Mopar Mopar Passive Cold-End Exhaust? If it's less than 3 inches then I'm definitely getting a cat-back from AWE or Borla, Another unrelated question anyone knows if the HEMI Rebel will come in GT Trim?

3" in and out of muffler, then y-pipe splits 3" into two 2.25" tailpipes.

I have a 26 rebel gt 3.0

I wanted to see if it was just me or does the gt exhaust sound more like a lawn mower especially when cold start.

Assuming most of the deep sounds people are talking about is the 5.7?

Anyone found a lower tone muffler without hurting hp

Yeah, so upon discovery of all 2026 Hemi optioned Rams getting the GT exhaust, I decided to ruin it with an MBRP muffler. To clarify I only got the GT Rebel for the ventilated seats anyhow. The new muffler didn't make it louder but did eliminate the clattery tones at WOT and gave it an oddly deeper tone through the rev range.

I have a 2024 Laramie G/T and after loving the exhaust for almost a year, I scratched my itch and swapped in a Mopar/Borla exhaust hoping it was Atak loud (turns out it's between Atak and S-Type).
At first I thought I wasted my money..tone was a bit deeper and only slightly louder. Then a put in an ANC Bypass Harness and then I could actually hear the exhaust in the cab..and after another year with the Mopar/Borla..it has gotten louder yet at all speeds.
I do really like the look of the larger 2.5" tailpipes (and the nicer SS burnished finish) of the Mopar/Borla vs the 2.25" G/T tailpipes..and that lack of the resonator looks nicer too.
The G/T is a bit higher pitch..both are great really, but in hindsight, the G/T was definitely good enough.

I agree, I drove around the first week or so questioning chopping up one of the best OEM offerings on the market. Definitely hard to rank between it and the TRD Exhaust on the 2nd gen Tundra, which I really liked. I think I'm really sold on the AWE 0FG as it has ball clamp adjustable tips where many makers to don't offer it and you end up with slightly crooked tips after install.

Yep, the ball tips are why I went with Mopar/Borla and not the Borla Atak..now the AWE 0FG is available with the ball socket also..great choice!
Even WITH the ball socket, it took a lot of putzing to get the Mopar tips perfectly matched & aligned.

My GT exhaust I installed new on my 2022 Bighorn has gotten much louder once past 50,000 miles. Still fine at cruising speed but really barks now at wide open throttle. Even more than my loud Flowmaster on my previous RAM.

Unfortunately my last Samsung Galaxy phone committed "death by battery fail" or something catastrophic because I lost all my videos (and most pics and bookmarks)..I don't trust "the cloud" and lost that bet..I had side by side videos of the G/T and Mopar/Borla exhausts at cold start and idle..and you wouldn't have been able to pick which was which if just hearing the audio without video.
