I'm very thankful for this forum. I've never been on one before and I'm very glad I decided to join. I had no idea about the leaking issue before I got my 2019 laramie crew cab used last Oct following a hit and run accident that totaled my 2018 ram 1500 crew cab the month before.
I looked after finding this out and of course I have 2 cracks one on either side of the sliding window and yes it's leaking on both cracks. After reading the posts on here I was dreading taking in my truck and being rejected for the claim as I'm at 27,900 miles and not wanting to spend $1000 on a new window that might leak again anyways. The service manager told me it wasn't up to him that it was up to fca weather or not to warranty. And said it wasn't likely to be approved past the 12k mile glass warranty. But was hopeful for my sake
But I got the call today (3 days later) and it was approved for replacement. And it will likely take at least a month to get. So hopefully that means I get the updated design that won't crack again.
