The below post on Facebook shows an aftermarket window option. I don't know anything about but I haven't seen it posted here yet and thought I'd share. I have a very minor leak on the passenger side and it's going to the dealer later this month since It's still under warranty.

Edit: added a picture for the peoples not on the book of faces.

Nothing comes up in a Google search for "aftermarket rear window for Ram 1500" or "F150 style rear window for Ram 1500". Whoever is making these is doing a poor job advertising it. I suppose it might be a prototype.

Edit: I found this one on eBay for the 4th Gen trucks. Does anyone know if the rear windows on the 4th Gen's fit a 5th Gen? I sent the seller a message, asking if they plan to make a rear window for the 5th Gen trucks.

Same issue with leaking window on my 2019 1500. It actually caused my RF Hub to corrode and my truck will not recognize my keyfob. It will not even start now. I have reached out to Chrysler care to see if they will cover. Outside on the 36,000 mile warranty, but definitely sounds like a manufacturer defect that has just now come to my attention.

Beware. It may take a bunch of us to raise our concerns and force them to recall.

It is a known issue. Thousands of trucks have the problem. Chrysler doesn't care and they are not going to fix it. Chrysler Care may help you. They did me. But they are not going to solve the issue on existing trucks.

Our 2020 Limited had this happen. Had it towed to the dealership on 2/16 and it's still there waiting for a new RF hub. Dealership says the part should be here on 4/17, but this is the third promised date for the part so we're not holding our breaths. Really frustrating for sure to be paying for a truck that we haven't been able to use for almost 2 months.

Greetings, I own a 2019 ram 1500 limited and took it in today for the rear window leaking from a cracked frame. I was told by my dealership (Kolosso dodge/ram-Appleton) that neither my certified preowned warranty or my platinum extended warranty I purchased covered fixing the cracks and quoted me for $2100! Judging by this forum and other forums, it’s an extremely common problem that shouldn’t happen to a truck that’s 2 years old! Can someone please help me resolve this issue?
Same problem. This caused water to get into my RF Hub and corrode the terminals. Truck will not recognize keyfob and will not start. I am pulling together any contacts with same issue and plan to pursue a class action lawsuit against Ram. Who is interested in pursuing? I have seen numerous posts with similar issues.

This thread is specific to the RF Hub, and those having issues with getting a replacement...

Bought my first ram last year. A 19 1500. Started it up the other day and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Battery pack has burned out. How? Because it was wet because of leaking rear window. Wtf? Gonna cost me about 5000$.

I would contact Ram Cares through this forum.

Im curious of all the guys that went with RTV how that holds up over time. I had my rear window replaced under warranty but I'm curious if it will come back.

Also, for all the guys with issues... does your auto-insurance not have 100% glass coverage? In my state we are forced to carry it.

For us it’s under the comprehensive coverage. There’s a deductible and they pay the rest

When I lived in Arizona, 100% glass coverage was required. It isn't in Idaho, but I do have 100% coverage. I'm not sure if leaks are covered in my policy. I suppose I should check.

i tried it several times. leak came back in 6 months in a different spot. when they replaced my window i got to see the glass as they took it out, there was cracks everywhere. that stock window is a flimsy piece of crap. thank god i swapped for the solid rear glass.

Within two weeks, they replaced my window. Still have no cracks or leaks but I am still nervous about it coming back.

I've just gone through the exact thing. Still waiting on my RF hub to come in. My truck will start, but only when I touch the key fob to the push button start. I'm already $520 deep, and the dealership wanted $2500 to replace the window and the RF hub. @RamCares got me in touch with a case specialist, who told me there wasn't anything they were willing to do as I was outside of the warranty. I've sealed the window myself as there were too many others in this and many other forums and threads who had the window replaced, only to have it fail time and time again. I love this truck, and after sealing the window I no longer have any leaks. Once I get the RF hub replaced (I was told the part showed to be delivered today, but was still in Michigan and this portion will run me $700-$800) hopefully this week or next that's the end of this saga. It's truly disappointing that FCA is taking this stance and alienating their loyal customers by sticking them with the cost of a manufacturing defect, especially after spending $43k on the truck a few months back. Let me know how to sign up @halle441

We have had some rain the last few days. I noticed quite a few drops of water on top of the rear window now. Not seeing any cracks but it looks like it is leaking now…
