Rear sliding window leaking

Glad I am not dealing with that dealership, looks like the poster child of what gives dealers a bad reputation.
- Dealer will tell you to **** off
- Dealer will laugh at you!
- What have you done for the dealer?

Not my experience with reputable dealerships regardless of brand. Clearly the one with the attitude above is not one of them.

Has nothing to do with being a reputable dealer or not. Every day, random customers who just bought a used car from a used car lot and are now out of warranty walk into the dealer and want a repair done for free. Dealers give them an estimate and then they start complaining. At that point dealers pretty much start blowing those people off. A factory rep once declined a bunch of work for a customer and his exact words were “ this customer only comes to the dealer for warranty work, has aftermarket tires, no maintenance history at the dealer and now wants a bunch of free repairs because he chose not to purchase an extended warranty”. Customers that tend to do their maintenance, brakes, tires at the dealer tend to get better treatment of Goodwill work. Why is the dealer gonna bend over backwards for a customer who has never been to that dealer before vs someone who is a loyal customer to the brand. Most dealers out there are the exact same way. A service advisor will bat for you when you spend money with them. That’s pretty much every business in America

...and now wants one repair because there was a well known and documented design defect impacting the model over 3 consecutive years before the part was redesigned, correcting the problem.

Fixed that for you.

Keep twisting this into whatever you want. I'm not about to point out all of the flaws in the logic.

By the way, FCA reached out today. They had no record of the dealer contacting them. Go figure...

Same problem, reached out to stellantis /FCA regarding the cracked frame and water leaks. I was 2000 miles out of warranty, this is the response I received:

“Stellantis is dedicated to producing a quality product and we want to thank you for bringing to our attention the Rear Window concerns that you have with your 2019 Ram 1500. Your request for assistance is understandable; I have reviewed your request and here is what I was able to find.

Your warranty for the Rear Window was for 3 Years or 36,000 Miles, whichever occurs first which, as you know, has expired by mileage. Furthermore, there doesn’t seem to be any warranties that were purchased with the truck, any recalls or any warranty extensions that pertain to the Rear Window.”

I payed out of pocket for replacement, 9 months later the replacement is cracked and leaking even more. This is madness.

Take it back to the dealer, will be covered under parts warranty.

FCA came back and said the cracked plastic frame is not covered under the 36mi/36k. It's on the glass which is shorter and was out of warranty when I purchased the truck. Dealer already passed. I'm on my own. Repaired for about $15 worth of isopropyl alcohol, blue painters tape, and Permatex flowable silicone. Maybe repaired is not the right term. But it no longer leaks. Loving my first Ram experience so far. Live and learn.

If the truck is under 36/36 then the FRAME! that is on the body is covered under warranty. At least my cracked frame was.
But, yes, when this frame cracks I will do the RTV repair myself also.

Has anybody ever considered putting a regular window glass on their truck? I would assume the glass from the non-sliding glass models would be the same fit.

My window was replaced last year 2020 ram 1500 only 12800 miles..this morning after a little rain headliner is wet and dripping. No cracks in window Frame like last time, but this might be from up top (antenna, third brake light) come on Ram! @RamCares this is ridiculous already
