I agree rrb. But I had not included it in my line of thinking so I was just curious. Is it a common "tactic". Thanks for replying.

I bought a 2019 1500 limited on 7/29. Dealer sold it 21% off MSRP. 69,850 Sticker. 55,187 +ttl and $250 doc fee. It was this lot's last limited and they had trouble selling it. Not a lot of people looking to spend on a limited in our area of Ohio. This dealer group (Jim Shorkey Ram) sells 1500 cars/month. My advice is find a high volume, low margin dealer.

Another dealer in my area only would take 9k off MSRP on a similar truck.

Hope this helps someone

Do we have like a ram top ten nation wide high volume listing in this forum?

Quick question for those that have leased through Chrysler, is it common for the acquisition fee to be waived? The one dealer I worked with who worked up all the numbers told me it was waived. Thanks.
I remember a few months back, on Jeep leases, they were waiving the acq. fee on certain models. Or it could be as stated, the dealer shuffling numbers. Doesn't seem they are good for leasing, the numbers are rarely attractive.

I have a question for the gurus, and if this is posted in the wrong section please advise.

I am looking for a new body style 2019/20 Ram 2500 4x4 6.4 4 door, probably a big horn... what is considered a good deal off of MSRP right now? Most of the 2500 trucks I see are about 12% off msrp... the last 2500 Ram I bought a few years ago was 18k off sticker! Is this truck still too "new" to get a better deal? If so, I can hold out.

2019 Big horn 2500
58K MSRP
52K OTD
Is this a fair deal? Anyone have any insight on the 2500 trucks? I am having a hard time finding a deal on any 2500, seems like the 1500 trucks have all the big discounts...

They don’t usually do discounts on 2500s, nothing like the 1500s. The only real time is at the end of the model year, like right now you can get some decent money off the 18 left over trucks. Even then, might only be on 8ft bed trucks.

2019 Red Ram Bighorn with appearance package and tow package.
Sticker 46k ish
4k ish in taxes
2500 negative equity on tundra pro
= approx $52,500
Minus: 7 k ish rebates
= 45,500!
Talked them down to an OTD price of 39,500 and I had them throw in leather seats.
2.99 interest rate for 72 months ($600 a month).
I feel like I got a good deal? First Ram ever, always drove Tundras...love it so far, put NEW Rims/tires on day one

Do you mind sharing the bank information?

I missed the June cookies by just one day, been looking ever since for a deep discount on a Limited. I talked to an internet salesperson today trying to negotiate on a truck. She said it sounds like new Labor Day rebates are coming and they could be announced 5 days before the Labor Day weekend. Fingers crossed....

They do that sometimes, so she could be right! Usually they aren’t great but with this scenario who knows? I saw they had 20% on select on classics... I’d like to see that lol.

About to buy my first truck.
2019 RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew 4x4 (new body style)
V6
Black
Level 2 Equipment
20 inch wheels
MSRP $49,600
Location is Mid-Atlantic. Dealer has had to trade for the vehicle after quite a bit of searching.

Let me know what you think is a realistic discount.

If it were around here you could count on the 15% incentive plus maybe 8% dealer discount, that's what I'm getting from everyone. So maybe 38-39k. Under that is probably a good deal.

Lots on the 2019 negotiations but does anyone have info on what the market looks like for a 2020 limited build? I'm seeing very little discount as they work through the 19's so I may be waiting a while longer.

Current limited seems to only have 1500 rebate. So I doubt 2020 has anything. And probably won’t for awhile. As of today, there’s zero reason to buy a 2020 unless you have to because your ordering. At which point your price won’t be set until you get the truck and see the rebates at the time.

If you just “want” a 2020, you should wait until the rebates are in your favor. Like competitive trade in, crew cab cash, whatever will stack to help.

Any reason you are opting for a v6? Just can’t imagine a full size truck having better mileage or anything else.
