Price negotiated from MSRP

On top of dealers charging above invoice (looking at you Koons $3k over and Criswell $5300 over), the 0% for 48 months is now canceled and the MSRP went up $750. The BUG also went up $100 on the limited. Crazy times.
Also meant to add, the eTorque option is also $500 now vs $200.

2500 incentives aren't the same as the 1500.

I'm rural Midwest and it's the same as you on the 2500.

Doh! Looking at the wrong screen!

I just went to a dealer near Philadelphia to place an order for a 2022. They were locked into MSRP; not a dime off. MSRP was about 60, sales tax was 3650, document prep fee 394 and license title 177. 65 out the door. They weren't moving on anything so I walked and decided to do more research.

I did notice the build sheet they gave me was for a 2021. Can they really place 2022 orders yet or were they trying to sell me a pre-order? Other dealers have told me they cannot place the orders for 2022 yet.

Also, I signed up for tread lightly yesterday, and realize I have to wait 30 days from the date of the welcome letter to get the discount. As I understand you have to have it before you "take delivery." Does that mean when it is delivered to the dealership or when you go pick it up? I think even if it were 30 days to get the membership letter and another 30 to wait for the code I would still be fine ordering the truck today even if I could, no? Also, are they still honoring these discounts? Ford, for example, isn't allowing anything lately (no x plan etc).

June 14th was when 22's were open for orders.
My understanding is you only need 30 days from the day you become member to be issued your code.
I actually already have the code and I will be at 30 days tomorrow. If you are ordering a truck it will take 8 to 14 weeks to be built and delivered.
So, I think you have time.
I order mine on 5-5 and signed up for Tread Lightly on 5-20, my truck is due to be built on 7-15 then 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.

Thanks man. Is the tread lightly the only discount you got on your build? Also, do all dealers have to accept it?

I am also getting the allstate bonus cash, I am trying to use the ram credit card and spend 7500 get a 1000 coupon, truecar can get you 250 or my company with truecar will get me 500, I goy a coupon from ram by going on their website and requested a brochure and was sent a 1000 code that expires in June so wont be able to use it, but requested another brochure hopefully I'll get another, use different email accounts. I mentioned all this to my sale guy who is actually the fleet manager (used him for 25 years of company cars) he says they all can not be used some cancel one another out. Then the dealer and factory deals when the truck arrives, right now there is nothing at my dealer but 0% for 48 months financing.
The dealerships do not have to participate on Oahu 2 of the 3 did. If you have a chance email the fleet person at the dealer you are looking to work with and see if he is interested, usually they are looking for the amount of boxes they sell not for how much or a high ARP. If you are ordering with the way things are going if you order they are not starting the 22 assembly line till August then 12 to 14 weeks to build. You have time. Good luck, I learned a lot from this thread and I got lucky with the fleet guy.

I live in Bucks County outside Philadelphia & ended up placing an order with Aaron at Mark Dodge after playing games with all the local dealers. Some dealers sell on volume...while others try to make a killing on a small number of units. You might want to check out the pricing at Mark Dodge to compare vs. locals.

I had emailed Aaron last month and he referred me to a salesman that contacted me and we could not work out a deal. Low trade offer and $2500 off MSRP. My local dealer was exactly the same as Mark Dodge was, mainly due to a better trade offer.
Did you work directly with Aaron? I'd like to order a 2500, but am wondering if working with him directly would be better? I also plan on signing up for Tread Lightly.

Anyone try to use tread lightly successfully on a TRX purchase? If so what did the end deal look like? I've only seen mentions of purchases at MSRP and over for that build.

I'm thinking of selling my 2019 Laramie while used car prices are way too high. My wife and I don't "need" two vehicles since we both work from home anyway. I can just sit on the money and purchase a new one once all this craziness subsides and incentives return.
I sold my 2019 laramie to Vroom. They paid off my loan and wrote me a check for almost $7,100. They have it listed now for $5,000 more than what they bought it for.

My initial contact to Mark Dodge hooked me up with a different salesperson that wasn't giving a very good discount, similar to your description. I emailed Aaron directly and got a much better quote within an hour. We've been working out the details over the past few days and I'm ready to present the final numbers to SWMBO for approval to proceed.

How was your transaction experience? I have an offer from them that's $2-3K higher than what any dealer has been willing to give for trade-in, but am leery of the gap in time between when you hand over the vehicle, title and keys and actually get paid.

Depending on your state the sales tax benefits of trading a vehicle in may make that 2-3k difference a moot point.

How's Mark Dodge with shipping to other parts of the country? The Ram dealers near me in New England all seem to be playing the high price/low volume game which is making it hard to get below MSRP let alone a good deal on a Ram Rebel order.

We haven't talked about that yet, but Aaron said they've been selling a good number of trucks to forum folks, presumably all over the country. They are about 9 hours from me, and since I'm not going to subject myself to today's air travel environment, I'll either have it shipped or wife and I will road trip to get it.

Mark Dodge's trade-in offer was only $22K and I have an offer from Vroom for $26K. The tax difference is about $1,500, so I'm already well ahead of that by not trading in.

My shipping from LA to PA (1,440 miles) is $900. When I ordered, Aaron estimated it would be $800-$1000. His estimate jumped up a few weeks ago during the gas pipeline hacking...which had me worried. But, in the end, the actual cost was right at his initial estimate.

Now, I just hope that my Rebel delivery in uneventful and isn't featured on the next episode of Shipping Wars :p
