Price negotiated from MSRP

I had a local dealer email me today. Their message was that Chrysler has added $1,000 bonus in addition the the Employee Pricing. They were sending it out to people that were looking at them for purchase, but didn't. I don't know if this is a gimmick for them to take $1,000 off old deals or if it is widespread to all dealers.
It's showing as a nationwide incentive on the Ram incentives page.

Just received my BONUS DRIVE approval email with my confirmation number. Should see my $250 in late January to early February :D
I just put in for mine as well....checked the dealer site they have my trade listed at 30k. Paid me 23 for it...dont even have it listed as proper model or with suspension options....greedy doesn't describe it...

i got an email from a dealer with that offer. And I already purchased a few weeks ago. I’d say gimmick tactic, but the added savings are likely real.

Working on a 2021 2500 order, MSRP of $78,095, and dealer has offered to order based on an agreed upon price of $68,095, plus I can use my $1,500 current RAM email rebate getting me to $66,595, or about 15% of MSRP before TTL. Not at all opposed to sticking with a 2020 but having a hell of time finding my exact build (and plus a little). Certainly being picky on the options, but I'm the one that buys new only every 15-20 years.... I'm not doing the deal yet because I really want to be closer to $61k or closer to 22% off, but has anyone got around that much off of a 2500 or 3500? I know most of us here are currently ('03 1500) or buying 1500's, but I would love to hear from any of you heavy dutys out there. Thanks in advance.

If anyone cares about the details
2500 MegaCab 4x4
Diesel
Night Edition
Level 2
Safety Group
Tow Group
5-Pass seating
12" display
Sunroof
Dual alt's
LED bed lighting

There is a big difference between 'going fishing' and 'going catching.' On a fresh trade, typically they go fishing first.

I negotiated hard before this sale with other dealers. I knew my prices and i lost a few deals over holding out..glad i did since i got newer and what i wanted..i lost my leverage because i got hit in the back a month before my purchase..even selling it on my own was only getting me about even with tax diff..i decided it was bettter not to have to rent a car to get mine and just take the hit
...win some lose some

First time poster. Looking to purchase 2021 1500 Built to Serve.

MSRP is $60,185
JD Powers NADA invoice is $56, 531

Dealer price on website is $50,907 which includes EP ($6278 - code 29HM1), Retail Bonus Cash ($1000 - 21CMA1) and Military ($500 - 39CMB). Dealer has another $1500 discount.

No trade-in. Adding to the household fleet. Can get 1.89% from Bank of America.

Looking for recommendations on my negotiation goal. Will also look to apply the Ram web site $1500 bonus cash after negotiating.
I just went through this on a 2500 Tradesman Kentucky has the best deals right now, Sticker $55,015 Out the door with all rebates $48,942.30 your Zip code determines what you qualify for, but they were $$4K cheaper than i could get in WI, worth it to get out of town for a few days and have a nice road trip with my wife.

I've been looking intensely for a 2020 2500/3500 Longhorn and Limited for about a month.
2020 2500 Limited
MSRP $82,130
-$9539 EP
-$2,452 dealer discount
-$1,500 targeted bonus cash
-$500 military
$68,139
$13,991 (17% off) MSRP

Hey guys. I am negotiating with a dealer to purchase a '21 Ram Limited right now. MSRP is $68,555 and offer is $58,934 ($8.6K EE pricing less $1K rebate). They held firm yesterday when I left the dealership but based on above seems like they should still be able to knock another $2k ish off for dealer discount plus offer the $1.5K rebate. Right? Seems like guys are getting 20% off which would put me at $55K.

Does EE pricing only work for in stock trucks too? The truck above has about $2k worth of options I don't need but I figured if I ordered one by the time it arrived I would lose out on the EE pricing discount which could more than make up for the extra $2k in options.

Are we talking EP (Employee Price) pricing?

If so, this is 5% below invoice pricing before rebates and incentives. People are often getting 7% to 10% below invoice even without the "Employee Pricing Plus" sale.

It may take some work if you don't have good dealers in your area.

Ouch.

Been in the market for a Limited for about 7 months and see almost non-existent rebates. I do not have a need to buy a truck. We have two cars for two drivers, the oldest is 4 years old. We buy something every two years and I have my mind set on limited 1500.

When, or if, do you all think truck market would become a buyers market? We have some family visit planned for summer 2021. I would like to enjoy my new truck when they visit and we would be driving around a bit. I am just looking for some guesstimates/projections based on past experiences.

Mark Dodge was just taking $17k off limited and might still have a few left or coming in. You might find something like that if you keep looking, I just kind of stumbled upon them and then got my Laramie

MSRP was 55k and I paid 47k... I really wanted Anvil colored Built To Serve with BigHorn level 2 and 33gal tank and it was very hard to get this car at the time I wanted to buy (I have checked several dealerships) so this price was the best I managed to do

I have an offer on a 2021 Longhorn 4x4

MSRP-$68345.00
Discounts-$12046.00 (includes EP and rebates, ramtrucks.com)
Total -$56299 (aprox 17.5% off msrp)
No Trade- OTD $ 60989.28

Includes: Adv Safety grp, Bed Utility grp, Longhorn Lvl1, 5.7 Hemi etorque, 3.92 rear axel, electronic locking axle, 22in wheels tires, trailer brake controller.

I think its a decent deal, not super great, but is the color and has everything I want. They are standing firm at this. I think I am going to do it. I can find another color that is 2 hours away, but only saving $1000. Not sure it is worth it.

All, I am getting told by my dealer that they cannot lock in incentive/rebates on a build? I thought I saw on here that is it possible to lock in rebates for a build? Am I incorrect?

It is my understanding that with RAM you get the incentives that exist when you take delivery. With Ford it was incentives at the time of order or delivery, whichever were better.

Most incentives and rebates cannot be locked in until the truck arrives. When ordering a truck look for the lowest price before incentives and rebates.
