Price negotiated from MSRP

My local dealers here in Delaware don't seem willing to deal too much. They are holding pretty firm and not really offering any significant value for my 2019 Limited. Unless the deals get considerably better over summer, I'm waiting for the Bronco next year.

Is Carman one of those dealerships? I’ve been in contact with them about one of the trucks they have in stock but haven’t got to the price negotiation part of anything yet just informal talk, was hoping to get lucky as those around here in Pa seem to be playing games as well.

No, I am in Southern Delaware. Lots of Big Inventory dealerships with plenty of trucks to choose, but no one is buying so apparently they are standing firm. I don't really understand that mindset, but I am sure there is a reason.

In my area (TX), the rebates on a 2020 1500 Limited dropped from $4500 to $1500 and 0% for 84 dropped to 0% for 72. It's a joke to think the environment has gotten better. What I think is happening is that the plants have been shut down since 18 March and will be closed at least another two weeks. At this point, FCA doesn't need to help dealers because they've already sold their inventory to the dealerships. Rebates and financing offers are meant to increase sales by getting more customers in and incentivizing dealers to purchase more vehicles from the factory to move more product and order more but since they can't build anymore right now, what's the point? Once the factories open back-up, we'll see a big jump in deals in my opinion UNLESS FCA significantly cuts production in anticipation of there being far fewer customers able to afford trucks with jobless claims nearing 30
Million now.

GM is still offering better rebates and they are offering 0% for 84 months through 1 June so they're likely to lose some sales to the Sierra. The reason FCA wouldn't care is that they've already made their money from the dealers and they can't make more vehicles while the plants are closed going back to my earlier point.
Go drive a Sierra. My in laws had one. Upper trim. Drove like a tank. Night and day compared to ram. And underpowered.

They’re already writing off this quarter at a loss. So the sales that they DO make they want to make as much money as they can. So they’re standing firm. That’s their mindset.

I haven't driven one and agree the Ram is night and day on the interior as I was comparing the Limited to the Denali. But I must admit, the Sierra Denali with the 6.2L V-8 has 420 HP and 460 Torque vs. the Ram's 5.7L HEMI with 395 HP and 410 Torque. The curb weight for a base Limited and a base Denali are only 55lbs apart with the Sierra being heavier so to say it's under powered would be hard to believe since I would think 25 more HP and 50 more Torque with it being only 55 lbs heavier, it would move. The smaller V8 in the Sierra would be a different story. That said, the Ram Limited's interior just blows the Denali's away period. I still can see Ram losing sales to GM because they are offering considerably better incentives right now including the fact they are still offering 0% for 84 months.

Yeah I meant the smaller v8.

What dealer was that, if you don't mind me asking? If you're in south GA, I might have to give them a call.

To get the vehicle from Craig @ Koons would mean that I would need to fly up there, then take the Amtrak Auto Train back (pretty lucky that his dealership is right near that particular train station and the one they run to in Florida is nearby me). But, all in all that would cost around $400...I was getting quotes to ship for around $450/500. Also, I got a quote from a dealer in TX that would ship to me for free...but buying a vehicle site unseen (and them doing a trade for my vehicle with just photos/mileage/VIN) seemed sketchy. I could see them getting the trade in and then saying it's not worth what they said. Actually, I pretty much guarantee they would do that...I would if it was me
I have done a trade-in that way with a dealer in Washington state (I live in PA). I sent them photos of the car I was trading in that they had asked for. We wrote up the contract, they delivered my new car and I sent my trade-in back. Worked out really well. No issues. Bought a 2020 Ram this week the same way from a dealer about 3.5 hours away. Didn't lay eyes on it, got some detailed photos of it beyond what was online. Have it in the contract that any major scratches or damage will be taken care of by them.
Also, consider hiring a car inspector to see the car/truck and send you a report. I did that for a Maserati I bought. WOrked out really well. Cost me about $300 for the inspection but I got a really detailed report and photos before making the purchase.

I did that for my lambo too.

Well, I finally got my Longhorn last week after the dealership owner sold the truck I put a deposit on to someone else. They dropped another $350 on the price in addition to covering the upgraded options on the replacement truck. In the end, the truck I bought had an MSRP of $70,630 and I got it for $56,637 before the $5k in rebates for financing through FCA netted it down to $51,637. It was a pain in the *** but we got it done.

That's a beaut.

Good info to know, thanks! So you had in the contract that the dealer was going to be responsible for any major scratches or damage to your trade that you were sending them? That's an excellent idea.

Congrats on the new Limited. I'm torn between a loaded Limited or loaded Rebel.

Congrats on the new Limited. I'm torn between a loaded Limited or loaded Rebel.

This is my dilemma as well. Fully loaded Rebel vs a loaded Limited with the Off Road package to make it almost apples to apples.

With the pano, ram boxes and MFT on both, the fully loaded Rebel (no tow group or graphics) comes in at about $1200 less than the Limited in my builds. So that's $1200 for ventilated seats and the 360 degree camera that's in the Limited. I like the sport hood, but on the Limited that is only available with the Black Appearance Package. It looks good but I'd rather have the granite or steel color and I don't need 22" wheels, and it also kills the Off Road package.

Not a fan of the lines look on the dash of the Limited and I'm leaning towards the Black/Red leather in the Rebel. On the down side, loaded Rebels like I want are basically non-existent and Limited's with the Off Road packages only slightly less rare, so I'll most likely have to go the order route. I'm wondering if I wait until the 2021 models come out, maybe they offer the ventilated seats and the 360 degree camera in the Rebel.

The delivery carrier is also responsible for any significant cosmetic damage or major damage. I have also asked that a car cover be put on for when the delivery was not coming by covered trailer. Usually their parts department has them in stock or just order one on Amazon and send it to the salesperson to put on.

Yeah not with Craig from Koons.
They're extremely deceptive. Read a few pages back.
I don't see why you say that. I read your pos It's 8% under invoice plus TTL and $799 processing fee. There is nothing deceptive about that...........

my thought is also maybe in 2021 they get the new Uconnect system also

No kidding...talk about a rare bird, I've found a grand total of one (1) Rebel with the options I want on the whole eastern seaboard. That's the truck the dealer wouldn't honor their website price and quoted me 4k higher. That's why I've been leaning more towards Limited. Like you, I'm not a fan of the Bolo necklace looking lines/stitching with the limited and the Rebel just flat out looks tougher

Honestly I thought that all the options available with limited were available with Rebel as well...couple that with the fact that I do more highway driving than off road might have just sold me on a Limited. Which they actually have a few of those models around unlike the Rebel

Yeah if you can get a Limited with the options you want and the Off Road package you basically have an upscale Rebel with the better camera, seats and different shocks (I believe), it just may not look as good/tough. I like the tougher look of the Rebel as well.

I didn't see any limited's with the off road package that had the 33's like he Rebel does. They were lifted but still had the low profile 55 series tires/rims. I didn't see the tires as part of the package either. Have you seen something different?

IMO, I wouldn’t make a decision based on wheels/tires. You can lift a limited and put on Rebel takeoffs... and those black package wheels/tires will sell for a pretty penny to boot.

I lifted my Laramie for $230 for front shocks, and put Rebel takeoffs on, even made some extra off of selling my stock Laramie wheels.

That’s a nice looking setup. Only problem may be the compatibility with the 4 corner air suspension that comes standard on the limited’s. I’m sure it can be done as I believe I’ve read or seen it maybe on here, but not sure it’s as easy as doing it with the standard suspension.

I may be mistaken though...

Hey I asked this in the bed cover thread but idk if anyone ever saw it. Do y’all know what trifold tonneau cover comes on the bed when you get order it on there from the factory? Is it a good one?

I leave in Texas. What should I be trying to get at off a 2020 Laramie MRSP: $52855? Truck is a demo it has 5k miles on it. So I told the salesman i wanted to be at $38000. Is that a good deal or should i try to get more off?
