I posted this before but for reference thought I’d post again for those of you currently in the market for a baseline to go off of. In early March I purchased a Gator Green Built-To-Serve Big Horn. These things are loaded for a Big Horn: 20” wheels, blacked out, LED lights, , upgraded seats, etc.

MSRP: $51,320
Purchase Price: $37,304
27.5% off of MSRP

Mind sharing where you're located? I am dealing on one now and msrp is 52,700(etourqe and 33 gal tank). Im at 38,150 with a trade. Have a break down on pricing you could share as well?

Well tomorrow I’m going to a local dealer to hopefully put in an order for a 2020 Limited 4X4. The build on the RAM website lists it at $71,950 MSRP. I’ve been talking to a lot of dealers since September 2019 searching their inventory for one built like I want and the colors. I found 6 at different dealers mostly out of state, but no dealer would budge on where I wanted my deal to be. Even the dealer I’m going to see tomorrow stated no to the deal I wanted. But I went up the chain past the front line salesman/saleswomen and got the Sales Mgr. to agree to my deal via email. He said the only way he would do it is if I finance with Chrysler. I’ve done my homework and I know my score so the rate needs to be close to what I know I can get. But no biggie as I can refinance later.

So.......what’s the deal you ask? It’s the same deal that Koons offers. He will match the 8% under Factory Wholesale Price (FWP) then I still get all the factory rebates at time of delivery which should be late June. So that’s $71,950-$11,189.52 off MSRP = $60,760.48 then I still get all the rebates I qualify for when it’s delivered. If the incentives are as good as last June (I hope), it could be another $10K off.

If I get there and he does not put it in writing very clearly and agree to these terms as we did via email, I will walk and then order from Koons CJDR. Craig at Koons has been nothing short of stellar when I have had email exchanges with him. I just want to try to do this local first. I will post update tomorrow.
That's great! That's the first dealer I've heard that matched Craig's. Yesterday I got a call from a dealer trying to sell me a truck I had looked at online. I told him I decided to order one instead. He said he could do that for "just" $500 over MSRP. When I told the deal Koon's was offering on ordered trucks all he could say was "Wow". He said email him the order and he'd ask his sales manager about it. Still haven't heard back. I finally found a way to get salesmen to stop calling. :)

Took possession of a 2020 Big Horn/silver/blacked/level II last week for $39,415 including TTL. MSRP $47,915.

Salesman said either 0% or discounts. I said 0% is not worth $7,250. After a long silence he said 0% and $2,250 in discounts. I said no thanks because I was 50% cash/finance and if I paid my entire loan the interest would only be $1,700.

Went to the dealership by "appointment" because the sales side was closed by order of the State. Went on a test drive by myself. Salesman said he was not allowed to enter the truck with me to show me features because of CV19. Was also told that the city had been issuing tickets to dealerships for selling cars, which is BS IMO.

Then the weirdest thing happened: Salesman went to finance and came back with numbers that were ~$600 lower than what he and I had discussed. Poor salesguy had to explain it to me more than once because I'm a pretty skeptical person. My only guess is that the dealership availed itself to some manufacturer benefit and I also received a benefit. No idea really but not going to complain. Dealership also threw in the rear inner wheel liners.

I think I got a decent deal and am loving the new wheels. Because the salesman couldn't show me what any of the buttons inside the cab do I'm now on an Easter egg hunt, using the owner's manual, to figure out how everything works.

First post and I'm not going to be doing an introduction thread. So, howdy

Edit: For pic. We're having breakup here in Alaska and she's already grimy after five days.

$500 over MSRP? For real, in the current situation? If so, that’s some serious comedy gold

Dealers / sales people still seem to be by in large acting as though nothing abnormal is going on and they are actually in control of the market vs the buyer. Crazy

My guess is you don’t even receive a response with an offer that bold. I don’t think anyone is seeing a discount that deep as a dealer-only discount, not including rebates... unless they’re paying thousands in dealer adders/fees.
They did respond - $7k off for 0%/84 or $10k off with 0%/36. That's 11% and 17%, respectively. Not good enough for me to bite.

How long does a build typically take - thinking about this Koons deal I keep reading about. I understand production won't resume until 5/4.

Just FYI for those like myself in the keystone state that have been looking to purchase, as of today Pa opened sales, to a mostly electronic process but at least I can start searching locally again. Hopefully nobody else is eyeing up what I am though, don’t want there to seem like there is a lot of demand.

There is one in that exact color and loaded very nicely for a big Horn a mile from the house...I’m having a hard time deciding if I’d like that color as much as I think I would, to me it looks nice with the wheels and the black grill/lettering.

Supposedly there were only 1000
Of this color made, which for me makes
It more desirable:)

I got my Rebel down to $51k from $63k last month. Larry H Miller in Boise, ID

Thats pretty good! Did you do all you negotiating in person? I'm looking at Rebels now and wondering how far I can talk them down dealer discount wise while still receiving the 0% loan.

MSRP: $58,500
Internet Rebate price: $51,308

They took 5200 off of a Big Horn at 0% interest I was looking at today but I didn't negotiate any further since the wife needed some food.

hey forest lake ram, that's where i ordered my longhorn from, they guaranteed me about 15% off MSRP even during the ordering process and that was the 2nd week the ecodiesel became available to order. They were pretty easy to work with.

I've had my 2020 Limited for about a week and a half. I didn't do nearly as well as you guys seem to be doing as far as a deal, but it was exactly what I wanted and I love it. I guess I wasn't willing to wait for the next "just right" truck to come along to save a few bucks. MSRP: 71k, financed 63,8 at 84 mths/0%. Allegedly 1k below invoice. I was also willing to invest a little to have a relationship with the dealer just in case of problems down the road. Plus this was my first new car (I'm 43). So all in all, I'm happy.

That’s a good deal at 0%. But sorry man, you’re forgotten as soon as you walk out the door. It’s business to them.

Don't forget to see if you qualify for the $250 “Bonus Drive” rebate. You don't need Allstate insurance (a sponsor) and it’s all done electronically. Hundreds of us here have gotten ours. 1 qualification of a non-fca licensed vehicle in the household. Anyway, check it out.

Hey guys I’m new here and looking for a little advice. I’m working a deal currently for a 2020 big horn with the night package. It’s a 4wd crew can with an msrp of almost 53k. I have them down to 46k out the door. Good deal in your opinion or no. Thanks for any help. Been driving the same 2003 quad cab Hemi sport since 2004 so I’m out of the loop on the new vehicle deals

ok so I went to the dealership and the Sales Mgr stuck to his word and was going to do the deal at 8% under invoice to start and then I get whatever the rebates I qualify for when delivered. I gave him a link to the build I wanted from the RAM Trucks website and he did the actual order In their system. He showed me all the prices on the build sheet with the discount and wrote on it that I get the rebates too. Now here was the monkey wrench........the system would not allow him to order the MFT. Everything else was able to be ordered. He said that happens a lot and that tomorrow it might show back up and he can complete the order. He says it’s common and I have seen it where their system does not match what the website is doing at the same time. But the website is ran by a third party not FCA. So hopefully the glitch will get fixed and he can finish the order soon. He asked for my phone number and will call me as soon as he can add it to the build. There was no haggling or nothing what so ever. I will post again when order is completed.

Anyone know if the MFT is built by a vendor? Could that be the hang up?

So you are saying that they didn't care and they sold you the truck for the advertised price without qualifying for a slew of rebates? Do you have an offer sheet from them saying that? What trim?
My truck has been at a dealership for 2 weeks waiting on a BCM.R. all mynpapers are in t HF e truck and I will upload once I have them. This is a copy of their ad

On my paperwork they took off the same amount of the rebates as a dealer discount.
