Here is what I was offered today. 2020 laramie 5.7 no etorque, sport and off road. 55,505 window. Heres where it gets hard and maybe you cant help me to determine if I am getting a good trade. Trading 2015 ram 1500 outdoorsman with ecodiesel. It has 99,900 miles on it now. Good lt tires 70 perc remaining tread, bed cover, weathertech floor mats front and back. Overall good shape. They want 28,500 to trade. What do you think?
I think that is a great trade in value. I just traded in on Friday a 2015 Ford F150 Lariat loaded with 75,000 miles. The offered me $26,000.

You can check KBB to get an idea how much your current truck is worth.

If they are offering anything over $20k for your trade it sounds like a pretty good deal. Just make sure you are not getting fleeced on the new buy.

The way they have it written up is 46,500 for the sale price of the new truck and 18,000 on trade. So my trade price is 28,500 dollars plus tax title...

KBB says trade range is 17,421-19,761. So 18,549 is average. My truck also had a new motor put in by fca at about 60k miles so motor only has 40k miles on it.

generally speaking how far below sticker/msrp is invoice?
tia

My fully loaded Laramie was:
MSRP: $70,995
Invoice: $65,252

I seen a similar Limited build that had a slightly lower invoice probably due a higher discount on the base figure.

The Laramie Longhorn I'm considering is exactly $72K and my price is $62300 (before trade in) and another $500 rebate. I was told the conquest cash is only for those driving a 1500 series truck from another manufacturer and my Honda doesn't count...boo hoo....$1000 out the window.

I am in the Chicago area. He read the fine print on all the fca rebates and the only one that was not allowed for orders was a $250 one.

Based on this feedback, looks like I should pull the trigger.

For a limited Crew Cab? What dealership?

Sounds like a pretty good deal if its loaded with all the bells and whistles.

I got my 19 Big Horn Crew Cab for $41,000 out the door (T,T,L included). I just cant get myself to spend 12-15k on bigger rims, leather seats, and a few extra electronics.

If you actually owe 20K on your trade in (Dealer is Paying Off in Full) and they are giving you (16.5K) that leaves 3.5K Balance. If the Ram Laramie is a Factory Truck without Customization and stickers for $63,280, that’s more than the sticker on my Limited 4x4. And their SP to you is $48,987+TTL =$53K OTD
Unless I’m missing something it certainly seems like a pretty good deal to me! Good Luck

I should have been more specific. The trade in and sale price are what they offered in the beginning.
The tax is 2300, registration 750, bed liner dealer price 500, doc fee 500.

Dealer preliminary price: MSRP 63280

49000 sale price
3500 trade in debt(every dealer was close to this)
2300 tax
750 reg
500 doc fee
500 bed liner

Total
56550

Offered
53000 out the door. Fair deal?

I'd see what you can do on a 2020. It may be a couple grand more, but you get later production (hopefully some bugs worked out) and less depreciation.

Maybe I am missing something but if you jeep is worth 16500 and you owe 20k the difference is 3500. So your credit on the jeep should be 16500 minus what they have to pay off the loan $3500 so $13000. Where is your 13000 credit for trading n your jeep?

Quick thoughts on deal Limited 4x4

MSRP 69,535
Employee Price 60,300
Conquest 1000
Price before TTL, 59,300

That’s about 15%. I know some get more but feels pretty good with little effort. Question is can you get more over employee price?

Are they not offering you a dealer discount?

Not at this time but to be honest we haven’t sat down to negotiation yet. This is all they came up with this far. Stopped in today to see the truck but told them I didn’t have time to pull the trigger today. I didn’t and that takes hours. Is there more room to negotiate past employee pricing and rebates? I was not sure. How much further can you typically go? These guys were not forthcoming with the employee pricing to start. Said it was on leases only. Games upon games with some car dealerships. I find it exhausting sometimes but enjoy the challenge as well. Lol

There should be some dealer price discounts on top of current months promotion. Have you look online for potential deals within a few hundred miles? If you have a list draft a general an email describing your intent and email each dealer a price. If they are willing to deal by email it’s saves you the trouble of driving to dealer to dealer and wasting time.

Every dealer I've spoken with claimed that at EP there isn't anything left for them. I was only looking at 2020s. They were all within $200 of each other.
