appreciate whoever posted in here to be wary of the 2019s at this point. you need to factor in 1 year of depreciation, so for example a 2019 that is $2000 cheaper than a 2020 is a bad deal. appreciate the wisdom.

Agree, and I think I'd prefer the tsb's applied to the 20's so that would be one less concern for a new buyer.
Who knows what the production dates are on the 19's left on the lots. Likely not more than 3-4 months old but still, product improvement fixes are ongoing. Besides, if you'd like the multi-function tailgate (I'd rather have that then the sunroof), you need a 20'.

safe to assume a lot of the 2019s sitting on a car lots are the least desirable combos for whatever reasons, and probably been there 6 to 12 months

Well it's not exactly 31% off MSRP kinda deal because it is used and had an accident. If I was you, spending 45k I would go new. For 45k you could get a nice Laramie I believe. Why spend so much money and it not new and it was banged up?

My 19 had to right side replaced. Can’t tell at all. Repair shops do an amazing job now, as long as they are legit. Check it over and if it’s what you want then you will get a nicer truck than a non collision one, I’d say go for it. I used to be of the mindset of not buying a car involved in an accident but as long as it’s not salvaged and the repair quality checks out I think your good.

I found a dealership in NE Ohio that has 2 2019 Longhorns in stock with MSRP of 68,000-69,000 advertised for 51,500 (something like that). They seem pretty well loaded and the cars.com page for it says they only advertise rebates everyone can qualify for. I may be calling them this week to see what the actual deal is as I'm not up for that long of a drive just to leave empty handed.

Took a look at the dealership I normally deal with. Seems the 2020 limited are as you say. The 2019s are 10k lower tho. The 2020s pricing as still steep because I guess they are trying to clear out the 2019. I imagine by Jan-Feb they will start slashing the 2020s prices

The peace of mind factor is why from me personally cant spend that much and it used and had and accident. Idk it could be totally fine but it would really suck if you had issues with it. Not to discourage you but I'm sharing my opinion. If your financing, check the impact on your payments. Or spec out a lower trim that's similar and maybe you would come in at the price you had in mind

Used 2019, 11,800 miles, level 2 equipment, 5.7 with etorque, quad cab, 4x2. Listed at $32,700, paid $31k even. New MSRP just under $45k.

Just ordered 2020 1500 Laramie 4x4 Eco Diesel:

Sticker $68,185
Invoice $62,709
Selling price $59,682 (less rebates at time of delivery plus TTL)

Wanted the diesel plus couldn't find anything with ram boxes and multi function plus leather in stock anywhere even with the hemi for good price etc etc. Craig (great guy) and Dennis Dillion priced me out about $1200 cheaper but required I finance with them and I'm in Southern Calfornia so logistics not worth the $1200 plus inferior loan.
