I've heard HB often includes dealer add-ons. Did you have to pay for any?

You can’t really look at it that way, 13-15% dealer discount is what you want, best zone. 11-12% is better, 10-11% average. Then minus rebates you qualify for. And avoid any high dealer fees and add ons. At this time of year, as some stated, it’s easier to get in that “best” zone.

It helps me to look at "real" numbers, so if I understand your comments then on a truck with an MSRP of $58,000 I should try to get around 14% (or $8,120) off from the dealer to be in the best zone. Then I deduct rebates, which might range from $1750 to $4750 depending on what I qualify for. So, just for fun and averaging the rebate range to be $3,250, my total price before adding in taxes, title, and license should be $46,630 ($58,000 - $8,120 - $3,250). And this price of 46,630 should include the destination charge and any document/dealer handling fees. Am I understanding that right?

And this then would be reported back to the group as about a 20% discount off MSRP?

Sorry if this was explained earlier, but I am pretty sure I have read all 223 pages!!

Yep, you got it.

In c
June favorite month of the year
In Canada the usual month for biggest ram discounts is July. That just historical data but the deal depends on which retail centre your dealership reports to. WBC (western business Center) is the one I was working in.

Well, I sure am trying. To get color and options I want have to order a 2020 1500 laramie quad. Six different dealers and frustrating to say the least. Think I will be better off in the spring. One dealer offered 5k off sticker but lowballing by 2k on my 2012 Silverado with 52,000 miles. We are like 2k off so if they want to sell maybe they will call back or one of the others

Found a Bighorn im interested in to replace my Express. 19, Black, black pkg, 5.7, 3.92, quad cab, 4x4 lvl 2 etc. Sticker is 49.5ish. Dealer said 39k before TTL and about 42k OTD

Any more wiggle room in there?

I think you could grt another 2k off pretty easily, more if you were willing to wait them out

A good deal is available to everyone if you are just stern, not ****y and ready to buy. My 2019 Limited is spec'd exactly how I built it. I did the leg work and found the exact truck already built on a dealer lot a long way away from the dealer in Raleigh NC I would've had eventually ordered from if I never the exact the truck I wanted. The truck MSRP for $67,915. We have purchased 2 new Jeeps and Hellcat from local dealer in past few years so they know me. Without even going going to dealer, I called and gave all the info on the truck I wanted. They had it transferred in and then sales manager I deal with gave the deal to a salesman I don't know but that's fine. This is AFTER the truck was here at my local dealer. The salesman sent one offer. I declined and said NO, but don't seem it if there is an offer because I want it and I know we can make the deal. That was 12/28/18. He said it's all they can do. The Limited is high demand as is Rebel and people were paying sticker. There were only 2 Limited's on local lots at the time before they transferred my truck in. I waited until New Year's Eve after not responding to several calls and text. I called about 4PM and said I'm ready to buy, NET the truck out and I'll be on my way. He responded with a sales sheet about 10 min later which I feel was NET. I was at $54,300 OTD. I said ok ! I'm on the way with a check but I have a 2008 Trailblazer LT3 4X4 fully loaded with 115k miles my grandpa ordered new and have me in 2014. KBB Retail was around $5k for Trailblazer. I said I need $5500 for Trailblazer or no deal. I knew that was way too much but gave me leverage. He ask for a few photos of Trailblazer. The response was $5k for Trailblazer so I brought a check a $49,300 and took delivery of my 2019 Limited 5.7 eTorque fully loaded Tri Coat Ivory, no Ran Box or Pano Roof (two things I didn't want but most Limited's I could find had both, I would've taken roof if it came down to it but not RAM box) on New Year's Eve at about 8pm. So that was still 2018 and a truck like mine was very hard to find and I was watching people post paying MSRP or within $500-1k of MSRP. You just have to politely hard nose negotiate. I did the entire deal with the truck coming from far away, never going to dealer and never mentioning or showing trade until I had price I wanted on truck. When I went to dealer with check and Trailblazer I was leaving about hour later in the exact truck I would've built and ordered if I would've never found one and at a great deal. Especially then. I would think you could get the same deal if not better now. Just my advice and hope it helps someone wanting one of these amazing trucks. It's by far my favorite vehicle I've owned. It reminds me of 2012 MB CL63 AMG interior but with way more room and comfort. I've added Black Rhino 22" wheels, Nitto Ridge Grapplers 305/45, Borla S-Type, aFe Magnum Stage 2, Edge Pulsar, Bakflip MX4 Bed cover and ceramic tint. I couldn't be happier! Friends with new Tahoe's, Denali's, F150-F250 from Raptor to Platinum and Sierra Denali trucks all like my truck much better and wish they had looked at RAM when I was talking about the new 2019 Limited would be my next vehicle. what you aren’t mentioning in this is that the rebates in January included:

1000 crew cab cash
1500 competitive trade (I believe it was)

So right off the bat there 2500 that just doesn’t exist now.

2019 2500HD Big horn gas 4x4
58k msrp
I think I can get the truck for 51k, is this reasonable on the 2500? I don't really qualify for any incentives..

$56,870 MSRP
-$10,000 Total Savings - Dealer took this right off the top - $9000 rebates + $1000 financing incentive
$46,870 Adjusted Price
+$65 Taxable Fees (Estimated) - This is what was left after $799 waived dealer fee for my employer exclusion
+$199 Doc Fee - This is for title fees I think
+$2,988.07 Tax
+$321.75 Non Tax Fees This was the initial negotiation, actual was $40 less for transfer of tag
$50444.32 OTD

Note: They had a $390 dealer installed tint on there which I said take that off and you have a deal, and they did.
I feel like I got a very good deal. They claimed they were losing a few thousand on my deal.
At the end I added on the extended warranty for $2510, the tri-protection for $616 and the 4 year maintenance for $699

they didn't lose badonkadonk @ those numbers...not the best, but far from getting bent over...

Hey all! I am needing some help on pricing and was hoping you all could help.

I'm looking at a 1500 big Horn crew cab short bed with the black out package. It also has rubber floormats and the v8. I'm going to ask them to add the trailer brake. The MSRP is just over 50k and they are asking 39800. Is that a decent deal or should i push for more?

Thanks!

I bought my 2019 Ram Bighorn in July...sticker was $54,100. I got $14,200 off. Purchase price $39,900.

Was $10,820 in rebates and $3,350 in dealer discounts.

bought my level 2 bighorn August 16th. MSRP was $46,235. Sale price after incentives was $33,623. That is before TT&L.
