Today when I started the engine I received an on screen notification stating "Power Surge on USB hub detected. Please disconnect the device." I unplugged all USBs but the message remains. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Was your truck left in the hot sun hitting the media hub (radio area)? I know those are prone to overheat

That could well have been the problem. Today, the notification is gone and things are back to normal. Thanks

Same issue on mine today... I'll see if after it cools off if it goes away...

I have had show up on the screen 3 times. I've mention to ram cares email and they said they haven't heard of this issue.

Happened to me on Saturday. Only thing plugged in was my wife’s phone. Touched the screen and it went away.

Yes to many times to complain and dealer sad they haven’t hear of this issue?

sounds like another bad update seems something happens every update nice QC

My truck displayed the "Power Surge on USB hub detected. Please disconnect the device" for the first time today. It's not heat-related, mid-70s and a cloudy day. I do not have anything plugged into any USB connector nor do I use the wireless charge pad. The only thing I can think of, and this is an assumption from past screen act-ups, is that there must have been a very recent software update. I was able to clear the message by tapping inside the text box.

Mine started doing this recently too when trying to charge my phone. Only way I could clear was doing a soft screen reset by holding the power button in for 5 seconds.

I am having the same issue in my brand new Grand Cherokee. I tried resetting as suggested above and still the same problem. Could it be the Amazon-sourced cable?….. will test.
