The clips go all the way around the sunroof. They all need the Foam/Rubber backing to quiet them down. It took me 15 min max to remove them all, apply backing, and reinstall. Take the time to do it, you will immediately love your truck again. If you only fix one or two of the clips, the others become repositioned and they will begin to rattle.

Panoramic Sunroof Headliner Noise

Does anyone have a link to the tape they used to quiet the noise?
I used foam tape designed for sealing tonneau/bed caps to the bed rails. I cut it into small squares and stuck them to the bottom of each clip. Go to any auto-parts store and look through their selections. I got mine from auto-zone.

I'm not doing jack. It's a warranty issue. It was quiet until they replaced the sunshade motor and the sunshade. Truck goes back in to the dealer 4-1 for the sway bar end-links and to get the rattle fixed.

And this is why I do not let 18 y/o's touch my truck for stupid stuff that takes a few minutes for me to resolve. 15 min max, vs 1 full day of some hack crawling in/through and all over my truck...NOPE

Look at the bright side; I get to drive a 2019 Classic Big Horn while they fix it.
The truck is a lease, so I'm not about to break anything trying to do it myself. If the dealership mucks something up, that's on them, not me. I wasn't about to try and replace the sunshade and motor by myself either since that was a warranty issue. I didn't have the issue with the headliner clips prior to Ram fixing the sunshade, unlike some folks that have the problem straight from the factory. The Star case number in this thread is muchly appreciated.
The other issue with not doing it myself is that I have a bad back and trying to work at odd angles over my head in a confined space isn't my cup of tea. I'm also not going to try and tackle the sway bar end links on my own so they'll have the truck anyway.

Got my truck back this evening. No more headliner rattle! The Star Case that @Duane referenced was very helpful. Apparently the dealership/tech ordered 'Mopar Flock Tape' and applied it in specific locations and once again I'm riding in luxury with the only sound coming from the HK audio. I appreciate the effort @RamCares put into working with the dealership to get this resolved.

My truck goes in on the 18th to have many ticks, clicks, squeaks, rattles and rrrip noise from the dash fixed.
The headliner is one issue as well. Thanks for posting the star case number. I will make sure to provide that info to Freedom Auto Group when they attempt my pano headliner repair.

They probably only replaced the offending clip/clips (just a hunch) When I fixed mine, I pulled out and modified all of them. If you don't do that, the next one down the line will start to rattle. FWIW, I now have 10,000 miles on my truck, and its never rattled since I modified my clips.I have a new headliner rattle. The 'fix' only lasted about 3 weeks.

I did the same thing. I'm very fearful of letting them touch my truck! To get a technician who would treat it like his own is next to impossible!
In January, I placed a small square of 3M Foam tape onto each clip and reinserted. It provides enough resistance once inserted to keep them still with no rattle. Never had to mess with it again.

Just went outside and did the foam wedged in the headliner "fix". Hopefully it works. Also noticed where I was getting the worst noise on the passenger side, the velcro clips weren't even attached. The headliner was just hanging there which could definitely explain the noise lol. Fingers crossed. Now the only clicks and ticks that are really bad left are all coming from what sounds like my centre stack/radio bezel area. Has anybody experienced these clicks/ticks or have a remedy? I'm thinking of pulling it off and putting 1/16" foam tape between all the contact surfaces.

I'd much rather do this myself than let the dealer, who's going to have a tech work on it that really doesn't give a ____!
Back in 2018, I put some sponge rubber foam for air conditioner insulation in between the bottom hard plastic Velcro and the metal retainer. It worked for the longest time, but the noise came back. It's not necessarily clicking now, but it is ticking. If I put pressure on one of the offending areas (above the passenger sun visor), the noise stops. It's definitely the headliner.
I have spent countless hours trying to fix rattles, squeaks, ticks, clicks and unknown noises on this truck. Geez, with a $70,000 window sticker, this is just wrong!
Do you happen to remember exactly what 3M foam tape you used? There still may be time for me to give this one more try before I have to drop the truck off next Monday night!

Had that too, sprayed a little wd40 in the two creases (each side) where the center console meets the center stack the same time i did the headliner, has been quiet thus far. If it ever comes back, ill cushion it with felt from a velcro pack. Its definitely where the contact surfaces meet.
I bought a 3m tape from auto zone. It was more like rubber than foam. Im pretty sure it was 1/4" thick by an inch or so wide. If I remember correctly, it was a roll used to seal fiberglass toppers to bed rails. I was worried that actual foam would eventually flatten and allow the clips to rattle again.
